Very good. I heard today that at some future time when we make appointments for our vaccine that we will be asked to make the second dose appointment at the same time, just like happened to you, Kath. I’m happy for you.

Chisue, they should know. They should also have told us that we were exposed and so far haven't. I don't expect them to either. They didn't tell us when we were exposed to our first positive coworker back in the Spring. They didn't tell my coworkers when I had symptoms in March or later this year. I also made sure my coworkers knew I had symptoms while waiting for the test results. So far, most of us have told each other if a family member or we have been sick. Nothing from management ever.

Yes, you are the first I've heard who is actually getting the vaccine! Yay for you! I am worried that you've been exposed though. I would not like to see you come down with the virus at the same time you get the vaccine. I hope you can get a test done for yourself. One of my daughters works at two different hospitals and it's shocking to me that hospital staff can't get a covid test without having lots of symptom boxes checked. Apparently at some hospitals if nurses are covid positive, but can stand up and function, they still have to report to work. Wearing PPE of course, but still! The other daughter is a teacher who is remote teaching and the school district sends her for a covid test a couple times a month. Has no contact with students outside of virtual.

We have been getting emails before the approval telling us to prepare, and then radio silence now that it’s been approved. I know nurses all over southern Wisconsin got it today, but I haven’t heard that the western or northern parts of the state did.

I'm set to go in the third tier at my work. We trialed Moderna, but I'm happy to get on the road whether it's Pfizer, Moderna, or anything else they see fit to administer. Stay well Kath!

I'm SO glad to read this. And I'm beyond appalled at how Covid is dealt with in your corner of the world. You have the patience of a saint--I would be steaming all the time.

It has been confirmed our public hospital system will receive the vaccine tomorrow and will start vaccinations Wednesday. I believe DD will be able to receive one since she is a Nurse Practitioner in the ER, but they haven’t received any notice yet on where they fall in line. I‘m quite sure the staff on the Covid floors will be first, even though patients show up in the ER all the dam time and then announce they tested + 5 days ago. Thankfully DD hasn’t been sick.

Sjerin, I don't think it's just us. Lot of workers, healthcare and essential workers not being taken care of during this pandemic.
