How or where do you sell plumerias you don't want??
Comments (18)Lynn, I did the same thing. I was lucky enought to find neighbors who lost all their plumeria in the same freeze I lost mine in. They were so excited, when I called to ask. I only charged them what I paid for the plants. Like you, I only kept the ones that I really love the color, size of the bloom and fragance. I went down to 36 plumeria. I ordered from Carol this year, only 3 plants, and one of them is waimea, which I can cancel, and buy yours if its not too big to mail out. Mine were all too big to mail. Andrew has been looking for a wildfire, so wait until he reads your post. He might just buy everything from you, knowing Andrew. Barbra...See MoreOT-What to do with new appliances you don't want?
Comments (5)I guess I'll try CL if we buy the house. The appliances are 'almost' a deal-breaker. They are brand new and it feels so senseless to get rid of them. I was looking forward to getting things I wanted in a new house. Appliances last a long time, and I don't want to wait 10 years to get the oven, cooktop and fridge I want. Comments (15)It's what you feel is a good deal that counts when buying. Selling is a different issue, and it takes time. We sold vintage for years, and Ebay was the WORST resource EVER for uninformed buyers and sellers. What seems like a minor difference can be a major one when it comes to price (well, it looks *almost* like mine). Additionally, it seems that people assume everyone else listing the widget knows what they're doing, when they might just be flying blind too. The only good comparisions on Ebay are exactly the same as your item with BIDS-buy it nows and listings with 0 bids mean ziltch. And archived listings from more than even a few months ago might or might not be a good resource, as certain items ebb and flow like the tide (for a while, you couldn't touch a Duaflex camera, they were HOT for TTV photography, I think that's died down now-we don't sell vintage anymore-no space-so I haven't kept up on the trends). Then you've got sellers that inheritated something they were always told was "worth a lot of money". Well, maybe it was, once. And now...you can give it away, maybe (like those console radio/record players or sets of china, except certain patterns). Also, it depends on your location. We live in NYS. Where we live, I could sell something...say...an old wooden crate for $10, whereas it might sell for $30 in NYC. Vintage prices here are WAYY lower than there....See MoreDon't watch this because you don't want to see it
Comments (24)Nasty! Glad I watched it though not surprised. Yes, we're germaphobes but better careful than not. My DH, DD and I went recently to High Point, NC for her soccer tournament. Stayed at a very nice Radisson. In our room, we found pubic hair on our sheets the first night and when we returned from the tournament the 2nd day around 4 pm, we found a condom (unused) in our bathroom sitting on the counter. Definitely not ours! Who the heck knows what went on in our room while we were gone. When we told the manager, he smiled and said, "Oh well, come with me...", took us downstairs and proceeded to credit our card $45 dollars for the trouble! Why $45? Did he think we needed the money? We weren't trying to get a discount! He didn't seem surprised. At another hotel last year, our comforter had a small, silver-dollar sized, almost unnoticeable fresh blood stain on it. Almost missed it because of the flower print on the comforter. It was still wet! I make it a point to inspect the room prior to use. This is how I find these things. Yes, I'm sure there's a lot of junk out there on a daily basis that we are exposed to, but if I can avoid some of them then that's better for me and my family. Just because these things are out there or, because as kids we did worse things than this, doesn't mean I have to let my guard down. Also, on airplanes. I had a couple of flight attendants as patients once. They filled me in on all kinds of stuff. From the blankets to the food. The blankets are used by some very dirty travelers who wrap themselves up in them from head to dirty, smelly, shoeless feet. She said they just re-fold the blankets and set them out again. I think the airlines may be doing things differently now. Someone can set me straight if this has changed....See Moredcarch7 d c f l a s h 7 @ y a h o o . c o m
