I wonder if he'd still be alive today. When I lived in NJ I went to his old apartment building next to Central Park and the Strawberry Fields memorial in CP.

I remember. I was laying in bed with my baby, when it came on the TV.

Shocking day. Hubs and I saw Beatles concert in Seattle , August of 1964. Very exciting for this little farmer girl.

It's been on the tv news and radio today and I still can't grasp how it could possibly have happened 40 years ago!!! I remember clearly sitting on my waterbed, seeing it being reported on tv. I consider the Beatles to be one of my greatest bands ever. How could 40 years have gone by? How?

I know, murraysmom. It doesn't seem like all that long ago.

Hard to beleive it was 40 years ago. When I heard the news, it was one of those moments that you never forget. Roomate and I had just stepped in the door of her boyfriend's place after water aerobics. We were laughing about something, and saw the boyfriend sitting still in a chair with tears streaming down his face.

Time sure does fly, I was staying with a friend and we woke the next morning to the radio announcing it.

I was standing at the kitchen sink and DH was watching Monday Night Football. I can still hear Howard Cosell saying "...dead on arrival." Another moment frozen in time.

Waking up local D.J. said "John Lennon killed". My mind wanted to know the rest of her sentence--he killed WHO? I couldn't process the news.

I was driving home from college and was on the main street in Dekalb, Illinois. Couldn't believe it. I was never a huge Beatles fan, but have since grown to appreciate their genius, and especially that of John.

Now husband and I had been to see The Incredible Shrinking Woman with Lilly Tomlin. We got in the car and saw the sunroof had leaked. We started to my house and heard the news, I cried like a baby.

I remember it...sort off. Selective memory for me. But I still recall where I was when I read Jim Croce died
