Comments (59)Could be a fungus like Vladimir said, could also be an insect egg or just dirt on a bit of fluff. However, I'm more concerned with how dusty the leaves are. I may just be dust or it could be the beginnings of a spider mite infestation. It's a good idea to wash off the leaves from time to time, like maybe every 4-6 weeks. Take them outside and hose them off, or if that's not possible, put them in the shower and shower them off with cool water. Then let them drain well and put them back where they were. It helps prevent spider mites as they're attracted to dusty plants. And your plants love the rinsing off!...See MorePost- rainy day pics 5/12/08 South central PA
Comments (14)Hey Greenguy, I am sure you are right after looking at your pic. Any suggestions as to what mine might be ? It looks to be the reverse of what you have. If anyone comes up with suggestions, I can probably decipher which one it is. When we moved here 2 years ago, I brought some of my favorite hostas for this small shady nook. Apparently the tag blew away this winter. I know I brought Capt. Kirk, I just have to find him now ! In the meantime, what else could this hosta be ? Thanks to everyone for their comments ! Comments (5)Glad you enjoyed it! :-) I spent an hour or more looking around too! Lots of neat ideas which served to make me bold enough to do a few (more) funky things in my yard! BTW, I was looking around at those gardening books that are on the aisle at Lowes. One was about painting things in the garden. It had the cutest ideas. One was painting a little row of elephants on that gray scalloped edging. If you are in Lowes check it out....See Moreroses....and more..please post your flower pics..
