Kitchen table advice/kitchen makeover

I am interested in buying a new table. The one we have currently as shown is a 48" round glass top. We've had it for about 15 years and I've grown tired of it. This winter we intend to paint or stain our cupboards white. I'm thinking I would like a white pedestal table with fabric covered chairs. Am I headed in the right direction. I also really like a ACME Picardy Antique Pearl table I saw on Houzz. I've attached photos of our adjoining living room to give you an idea of our colors. Yes, I am a fan of white apparently

Hi, that table is very pretty and quite a statement. I think it would look great with some upholstered chairs with some pretty color and pattern.

You want the white of the table to blend well with the painted cabinets. I'm not a pro, but seems you need to get a sample of the table color before picking a paint or get the table itself!

I thought of possibly painting the green on the tables white and just purchasing new chairs. Thanks for your feedback. Would anyone else like to chime in?

I am moving into a new place and need to get creative with my dining area. the Floorplan makes it a little awkward. originally I was planning on buying a counter height table that we could use as an extention of the island for a dining area when we have more people over. we were normally have the table sit where the current bar table and stools are now. I am thinking a circular table and is slightly higher then the island rable so it will slide on and sit nicely to accomadate up for 8 people. if you have any other ideas pls help! I am struggling! we only have room for up to a 4 person table where the bar stools are now. there is no additional dining space in this townhome.

LOVE a tulip table and thrilled to hear you had luck with felt pads. We are having a base made to allow a 10 inch overhang at the heads and an 8 inch overhang on the sides. There will be an 8 inch opening in the center. The drawers open 16 inches so I will have minimal access.Due to the length, the granite company felt the table would be most stable with this style versus legs or a center pedestal.

Sage green goes nicely with oak cabinets. Painting cabinets is pricing and it's a difficult DYI so I would leave the kitchen as is if only staying 2 years

If you're shopping locally, I suggest you lug one of your chairs to the store and try it at the table, or make sure the table is returnable. The "fork to mouth" distance has to be taken into account. If chairs cannot be pulled to the table adequately, it will not be comfortable for dining. Guests sould not have to sit on the edge of their seats in order to consume food. Once you've decided on a table, you'll want a rug that is 36-42" larger than the table top all around. Since your chairs have splayed legs on the back, I'd go for the larger size. You don't want the chairs to fall off the rug when pulled out and sat in.

I'm thinking the table you linked is too extravagant for the setting. I love the idea of the painted cabinets and also a white table and chairs, there are so many online, check out overstock. Just my opinion, yes, try painting the green on the table white or you can look for a less ornate table like this one https://www.wayfair.com/furniture/pdp/one-allium-way-hallows-creek-dining-table-w003126003.html?piid=256754392

I’m so happy you said that. It was a thought that I had as well! Decision made. The table you linked is not white. I thought with my floors, I shouldn’t bring in another color of wood?

The other color wont do i thing having a white one will be appropriate.
