Need help with exterior paint colors

I just moved to this townhouse development. It is currently painted a color scheme I refer to as "bandaid plus baby's first summer." What colors do you recommend to make the development look more modern and less like a 55+ development? There are 6 buildings: 4 with 4 units each and 2 with 2 units each. It was built in 1980. The siding is cement shingles.

I can’t make out the colour of your roof which will be potentially impactful to exterior colour decisions.

The roof is charcoal colored asphalt shingles.

it be helpful if you gave us a list of colors they do approve, rather than us spending time suggesting colors that are off limits. (can't belive that baby poo brown next door is approved but a creamy white is not??? ) ditto garage doors. can those be painted? what colors? agree to the big mushroom cloud bush being trimmed or removed. it covers half your front

The house looks very nice, just like it is, I would not go darker. Unless, it really needs paint, I would only do touch ups if needed. I would add some inviting looking furniture to that front porch. It looks a bit lonely and not an inviting place to sit. Its a beautiful porch, play that up, for your buyers. Make it something they will remember, with rugs and plants, and comfortable colorful furniture.

This is a lovely color combo and would give us color latitude for painting the front door an accent color. The houses in the photos are traditional - do you think it will suit the bland 1980 architecture of my townhouse? (There are not many architectural features other than corner boards.)
