Does the stone go all the way around the house?

It does not, it is only on the front porch area

I hope you are able to do wider steps, which will make your entrance a focal point. Yours look rather skimpy and tight. This house below has generous steps and attractive porch skirting.

As far as color goes, white on white is a good option.

Take a look at pictures on Houzz with board and batten. There are examples of good looking combinations of shakes, board and batten and stacked stone that you can study how they achieve an attractive look. Here is one house I think is successful. Look at all of its photos.

Here is a close up of the stone, we had thought about doing a darker gray to accent stone with chunky white craftsman trim around all windows. Thanks for all the replies!

I think a dark gray, like the last one that Houssaon posted, above, would look fabulous! Just be sure that your trim around your windows is nice and chunky. Don’t skimp on it. Do you have a choice of siding?

We just painted our 1910 FourSquare Kendall Charcoal a BM color. It’s beautiful with snowy white chunky trim. Everyone in our town keeps passing by to tell us how lovely it looks.

Our initial thought process was to go with the modern farmhouse look all white/board and batten which we love but everyone keeps trying to talk us out of it due to the stone and thinking it may clash. All of the responses are much appreciated!

And remember...NO SHUTTERS! Your window configuration won’t permit them. But, you could do your front door in an amazing color.

How about stucco
