A lighter color would look nice. I would try to match the stone work in front, or at least doesn't clash with it..Color??I went with a beige, isn't everybody. One color I was leaning towards was graige (not sure of the spelling Sherwin Williams carries it), a cross between gray and beige.

I'm not an architect or a designer ....just a lowly poster but something about the stone on the bottom and the weightiness. I could be totally off. Maybe one of the architects here or designers will weigh in on the columns. i chose my stone first. Then I chose my siding color to complement the stone. But, I had no choice as we had to have the stone months before the house project started. I would have done it the same way ...stone first.

Here's what I recommend for your home. Embrace the lovely California Santa Barbara style for your home. Your home can be very special with a few adjustments. All the window frames should be bronze. Either replace them or paint them. Add a wood or faux wood wall pergola over your garage door and start bougainvillea trailing from the trellis Either select a wood grain garage door or have it painted to match your front door If you want to spend more money select Mexican tiles to install on the risers of your stairs for more interest. Your front yard needs some serious landscaping. No lawn IMO. Maybe ferns and a palm tree. Ferns in the front yard. Mexican planters are a must. You want this look for your home IMO. The paint color is not your issue. Landscaping is.
