I don't think so. I think she's just another one of those stars, that comes to visit and loves it so much. Like Nicole Kidman, Keith Urban, Gwyneth Paltrow... I can understand them, it's a great place!

ETA: it also seems to be a popular place for country music videos. I can name at least three others.

If you look when they walk in the library, above the door, it says Franklin. My neighborhood is in a totally different city, a suburb of Nashville.

You must not watch This is Us, because she sings all the time in it! That show has just restarted, 2-hour premiere was yesterday? I have it recorded, so I don't know.

blfenton, she's an actress in a wildly popular tv show, This is Us, and she also just signed with record label in Nashville. So, she's also a singer.

Oh my what a great song and video! Thanks for sharing it. I love her voice and now I’ll be following more of her music. She blew everybody away on one of the music award shows last year. Can’t recall which one, but she was great, and I think surprised everybody. I hope she does well in Nashville.

BTW, love your neighborhood, Rob. We miss our trips to Franklin and Nashville.

I was surprised when I learned she can sing. She’s very good. I don’t like the show she’s in, so I never heard her there. Considering her size, I hope she doesn’t end up like one of my favorite singers, Cass Elliot.

So cool that this was filmed in your neighborhood! Your house is famous. One time they taped the intro to an episode of Trading Spaces in my neighborhood. I swear Paige Davis walked out a front door and said “ welcome to Trading Spaces. I’m Paige Davis” at least a hundred times. I never did see it on tv.

She is very good, though I'd never heard of her either.

One of my nephews used to live in Nashville and was an aspiring actor. He landed a gig as one of the actors on this video of Keith Urban - Sweet Thing back in 2008.

He is the grown up version of the husband after they have a baby and he is selling his Mustang.

It was filmed three or four doors down from my house. Where she's standing. When they're riding in the wagon with their arms in the air that's my house (blue one) in the background!

I didn't get to watch the whole thing because I decided I need to get up and see it on the big screen. I'm pretty sure Jake's garage, really was a garage, and is a block up from my house. It is now a gourmet burger place. It was a fancy dancy restaurant for a little bit, and before that it was closed a long time. Though, Wikipedia says it was filmed in Lebanon and Spring Hill??

ETA: Nope. Just incredibly similar to our super old garage. If I'd guessed, I would've said the neighborhoods look very Franklin-like, so I was surprised to see Lebanon (which is one town over, and not even a little affluent, which Franklin is very much known for).

Rob, my favorite doctor left our little Texas town to live in Franklin, Tn. His name is Dr. Franklin Babb. He has since moved back to Lubbock, Tx but I bet there were patients in Franklin that hated to see him go.

Shoots like this are SO tedious. A very long time ago, when I was young...a popular TV show, "Route 66" filmed an episode in my hometown. It took most of a week to produce just the exterior shots for one episode. I interviewed some of the actors for our local weekly.

Rob, I just saw that Mandy Moore is pregnant, so they'll be working around that in this year's show. The producer said they may not show her quite as often in her older years, as that would be hard to explain. :-)

Our region is popular for filming tv shows. Our neighbouring city in particular has a lot of beautiful older homes, and Murdoch Mysteries and Handmaids Tale are both filmed there. They're there now doing Murdoch. A house has a different front on it to replicate the police station.

This IS US is far and away my favorite TV show and I adore every single character. Mandy Moore is a great singer too. I knew Chrissy sang too. What a thrill to have that in your neighborhood.

Lily, you have no idea!!! I didn't even tell people in my area when they were filming here. It was just our street. So my Village didn't know. I wanted people to know, and I really didn't want them to know. I wanted them to leave her alone, but it was so freaking exciting! When they were going down the street in the wagon, I went out and snuck my car away so it wouldn't be in their shots. It ended up being in one. Security was so funny, they said "Don't you want to be on camera?" And I screamed no!!!!! as I snuck my car into the backyard.

Did you see the two part season opener of This is Us? What the heck was that last moment in the second episode?! Oh my goodness!!!!!!

I of course DID see the two-part season opener and my jaw dropped and my daughter texted ...she's alive? And where has she been for 40 years? William is dead but she could have contacted him in the early years. Or maybe she knows where Randall is? Love the writers of this show. So well done and Sterling Brown is excellent.

So that's my main question, how did they live in the same city in the early years, and never find each other? You know they had the same haunts. I guess she saw the error of her ways, and had cleaned up so much she just avoided William? Fogelman will answer it. In a clever way.

Speaking of which, that was my favorite part of this week... When Jack called his dad, and his answer was so... mind-blowing! I just cried buckets of tears. I always guess the answer. And I didn't guess that one. They're always one step ahead of me, and nobody can do that. AMAZING!
