White Dove, Simply White, or Cloud White

Hello. We are deciding what color to paint our walls and new cabinets. It would be the same color. We can’t decide between White Dove, Simply White, or Cloud White. Counters are a white quart. Either Torquay or something similar. Any thoughts?

Why don’t you compare & contrast the attributes of all 3, before sampling in your space, if you haven’t already? See them in the Colorography Lab at The Land of Color .com

I painted my cabinets last summer, my house faces south, so I get lots of sun too. I got samples of White Dove and 3 others that I cannot recall (probably what you mentioned or close). I did not like White Dove on the swatch at all, but I kept an open mind. I painted all 4 on poster boards and looked at them for a few days and did a process of elimination. White Dove won! I LOVE the way my cabinets look.....white without being stark, but no undertones. I used Cabinet Coat paint from BM and they tinted it White Dove for me. Hope that helps....

I used SW throughout my house because I just love it. White Dove was a strong contender too but as previously mentioned by others, it came across cooler and darker with a suggestion of green.

@Priya You just have to test. Acadia looks great in my Hawaii house and terrible in my Idaho house because Northern light is more yellow than at the equator. (I had to switch to Simply White in Idaho, which looks like Acadia in Hawaii.) When I needed a "white" for the exterior of my recent house I tested at least 10 colors to come up with the right one. Remember you really don't want a white outside because colors look way lighter outside. A white will be blinding. I ended up using BM Ancient Oak 940 which is is pretty close to the "almond" metal soffits, and on the house it looks white most of the time, at sunset caan look slightly yellow.

I do not like a yellow cast to whites and make sure before choosing any white you have all bulbs in LED 4000K or you will get that yellow cast for sure. You need to get some poster boards paint them with 2 coats of the colors you think will work then move them around on all the walls ans ee how they look in your space

I was betwixt and between the same colors. Ordered samplize large samples of each. Decided on simply white everywhere - trim ceiling and walls and the results are stunning. Went with the Aura line - matte walls and satin trim and doors. Was worried about how it would look once up with our already installed white kitchen cabinets but this white is very forgiving. Definitely not too yellow (white dove was WAY to yellow). Even in low light and shadows the walls tur just the palest cream. Really lovely.

We did simply white everywhere with regular white gloss trim. Kitchen cabinets are simply white. It’s a beautiful color. Very soft.
