Houzz topics, where?

I recently cleared the cache on my computer and it lost my sign in. When I went to sign in again I ran in to all manner of problems that I just deleted the account and started afresh. Maybe it is me, but I found this site so obscure and confusing.

After making a new account I have had to go back to history links to find the topics that I had before.

Where do you get a list of the topics?

I managed to add two topics back to my list, but I can't find the link that used to be there for these other topic forums.

I remember before that it was a hard to find that link that led to lifestyle discussions, but I don't see it all all anymore. Where is it?

I guess I will just go back through my history and try to pick them up again.

I made a list using the Wayback Machine (https://archive.org/web/) and a bit of editing.

It's not 100% complete but may have what you're looking for.

Heck, I tried looking for the conversations side of the decorating forum and couldn't find it. I have no idea how people are able to post to both here and there.

I tried doing a search, the list of forums don't show up under the Gardenweb page. The only way I could find them all is by starting a new post, and all the forums show up that you want to post it in.

Very user un-friendly site for sure.

I assume you've done the obvious google image search? I only post that because you didn't mention it. They've improved it to be able to refine search results. Here is a link that might be useful: google image search for reading nook

Hi! Could you please consider adding a quicklink for "Your Topics" to the "Your Houzz" menu? It would be a very user friendly addition to the update. I actually like the "Your Topics" personalization feature very much. Screenshot to give a visual of where I would like a quicklink to "Your Topics" added.

If you were hearing helicopters in Irvine, c martin, they were probably from the former Marine Corps Air Station Tustin. It was located roughly between Jamboree and the 55, between Edinger and Barranca. Last time I was by there, the old blimp hangers that were part of the base were still there. El Toro was more for fixed wing aircraft, the kind that use runways.

Jasdip, if I want to do both, I start the post in home dec convo and then can add the kitchen table...but you can't do it the other way around.

Annie D...on my screen, there's a list on the left of my topics and button to edit where you can add other topics to follow.

The only topics that come up for me other than those I have marked as favorites are Australian which seems odd. All the topics used to show up.

Richard, thanks but I can't see these few discussion forums that I have been following.

I had to go back to browsing history and pick them up.

Jasdip, I agree that they are pretty obscure. I can't remember just what I linked to in the menu that linked to those such as this one. It appears to be gone. I tried them all. If not for my browsing history I was ready to just delete and forget it. Then, I just deleted and rejoined.

Do you think that maybe Houzz is not encouraging discussion that do not lead to buying stuff? Honestly, I am not in the market for anything. No one is going to profit from my yammering on on these topics. Do you think maybe that is so, or am I missing something? I seem to recall clicking on something like "home forum" or some such as that. I do remember that it was a somewhat obscure link before.

I have had that happen and I think it's what Annie Deighnaugh said about clicking on the EDIT and then the options come up? I know it's not easy and I dread when I get logged out and have to reinvent the wheel.

"I can't see these few discussion forums that I have been following"

If you give me an example or two of forums that are missing, I can attempt to discover why, and may be able to include them to help others in the future.

I retrieved those links from an older version of Houzz/Gardenweb (I don't remember the year) that had the list on the left that included things such as "Home", "Garden", "Nature", whatever. (I can't get there right now to see the exact wording)

Not certain that you can do it but try to do a search for your old name or scroll through to your last posting in your old name. Click on the name, then activity. You may be able to find the forums that you are missing in that manner by clicking on what you posted. You may find having two screens open easier to do this.

I found that when I changed computers and had to sign in the Houzz system would not accept my old password because according to the message that showed up it did not have enough spaces. It also did not like my web address although it eventually accepted it.

Using the EDIT feature just brought up all the sites and I was able to add a couple I wanted. Thanks all.
