Inside Houzz: A New Look for Your Houzz User Profile

Learn about the new user profile experience that better reflects who you are

Your Houzz profile has always been the place where you showcase your style and who you are. Starting today a new profile experience is rolling out, and over the next few days, everyone will get the new profile page. You’ll have more control over how your profile tells your story.

Profile Overview

The first thing you’ll notice is the large photo at the top. It’s completely up to you what to put here, but a unique image that highlights your style is best.

Continue a little lower, and you’ll find an easy way to access your projects and ideabooks. Below that you’ll see Your Updates, which lets you see at a glance who has saved your photos, who has followed you and updates from those you follow.

How to change your cover photo

Your cover photo is easy to change. To set your cover photo, click Edit Profile, mouse over the cover photo area and click Change Cover Photo.

From here you can upload a new photo or select from those you’ve previously uploaded to your projects. Don’t have a photo you want to use right now? We’ve got you covered with a set of curated photos you can choose from in the Houzz Gallery. (Look for it in the drop-down menu.)

As I jump between the various sites, I'm still at a loss why the avatar on the front page and for comments was changed to a circle, when in the profile it remains as a square. Took me a while to find a picture that fits (suits) both styles. Stoopid.
