We were able to find the Frigidaire All freezer/frig combo in stock and on display at a appliance store about 70 miles from us - we drove up, took a look at them, and bought them. They are in storage right now, so I have no idea how they will work once installed, but we were impressed with them enough to buy them. Comparing the specs of the Elextrolux, and seeing what looked like more reported problems with them, we were happy to go with the "lower end" Frigidaire. Time will tell if we were right! The other plus is the Enegry Star rating, and the ice maker (we didn't want a water dispenser)...The ice maker is the simple type in the top corner and takes up little space. The best is the price for how much space you gain.

You do realize that they are made in the same factory and are mechanically identical, right? Frigidaire is Electrolux's budget brand. Other than the different look, they have different interiors. I don't know the differences off the top of my head so I would go on both sites and compare. Are you looking at the Elux Icon or just the regular? TL;DR If you like the looks, price, and interior of the Frigidaire better, buy it.

OK..show and tell :) Here is mine... freezer:door has mostly my spices in pint jars. Keeps them fresh for years unlike room temp. Also the white bin you see on shelf below icemaker is a dishpan :) Used for my specialty baking stuff so I just pull it all out at once. fridge: drawer is on the left midway up...we use it for all out cheese. Rarely have meat. Note we have 2 drawers on the bottom of the fridge. That is all. Rest is shelves. Suits me as I don't need more drawers. I use the wide shelves to retard my huge trays of sourdough breads.

Did not get to see the Electrolux icon model. Looked at both the fridgidaire and Electrolux models. They did not yet have the professional handles on the the fridgidaire model when I was looking at them. The bins on the Electrolux were nicer and glided better. Was going to go with the fridgidaire as it was at a better price point but when my appliance dealer came across the Electrolux pair for $3400 I grabbed them. The only drawback of them is the fridge doesn't even have a water dispenser inside the unit. That is the only thing I wish it had.
