If nothing can be returned then keep them and work with them....I think the lamps and end tables are a bit light feeling for what you have; steel and wood might have been a more casual choice, but as you have all the basics in place then concentrate on getting a large log console with closed storage to hide clutter. A large piece of art over the wall opposite the fireplace would be nice incorporating all the colors aleady in the rooom....grey, orange, brown, white, silver, and turquoise....and make it about 2/3 width of the sofa length; bigger is better....try Cost plus old world market, Marshalls, Home Goods, or the store where you bought the furniture.....and you could try to return the tables in exchange for the metal and steel end tables and a different round cocktail table. A round mirror would be nice over the fireplace....get to that point and Houzzers will be happily helping you....here are some pics for inspiration Round wood cocktail table with different end tables Large art the right size and hung at the correct height contrast cocktail table Large art and also arc lamp fluffy area rug like yours! MIrror over fireplace High contrast mirror over fireplace; plus some greenery! Hope these suggestions are appealing to you...study placement of rugs, art heigh, lamp height etc in rooms....lots of great design ideas...See MoreChoosing a a paint color for a dark living room
Comments (9)If Edgecomb Gray is too pink, my bet is that Collingwood will be too. If you are still looking at grays, Ozark Shadows is in between Sea Haze and Rockport Gray. I tend to agree, though, that gray may not be your best bet. If you are going to address lighting, definitely do that before you look at colors. The lower the light level, the less our ability to pick out colors (that's why we are all essentially color blind at night). So in low light, low saturation colors can look gray, and even high saturation colors look slightly grayed out. Pastels don't have a lot of pigment, so our eyes have trouble picking out the color in low light and they tend to look gray or white. Darker colors have lots of pigment, so we have an easier time reading the color event when light levels are low....See MoreEdgecomb Gray living room with adjoining dining room color advice?
Comments (2)You should paint them the same color, but the dining room will seem darker (more intimate) because it gets less light. Dining rooms are mainly used at night so a dark color is appropriate....See MoreRug for living room with gray couch
