Can anyone provide some advice to remove a bleach ring from soapstone?

I have heard time and time again that bleach and other chemicals cannot harm soapstone as it is not porous. I’ve learned this isn’t entirely true, as I had left a leaky jug of Clorox on my countertop for about 20 minutes and have been looking at this ring ever since, for the past 5 months or so. I’ve tried wiping my counters with denatured alcohol. I’ve tried resealing them with soapstone wax, mineral oil and straight beeswax. Nothing has helped. I may need to sand this ring off, but am nervous to attempt that. If anyone has advice, I’m all ears.
