All quartz is essentially man made "cake batter" . I find little to no variation among brands except advertising and marketing . Much depends on colors you choose, your own maintenance in daily clean ups etc. As with any other surface you would select. There is no PERFECT top

This is reassuring to hear Jan and Joseph. I have quartz in another home so I feel confident that it’s a material that will work for me. I mostly just want to know about quality and customer service from Mont. It sounds like you are both saying that from a quality perspective the brand doesn’t matter. Do you know anything about their customer service?

If you agree the product is the same...why not look at local resources that are reputable?...someone who is more invested in happy customers locally?

You're going to be getting customer service from your fabricator, not the manufacturer.

I agree that the local fabricator is the initial source of service. But in the event that they don’t meet expectations, the manufacturer may need to get involved. One can see this from the number of posts on Houzz where a customer needed to engage Cambria bc if an issue with a fabricator. I feel as confident as I can about the fabricator in my area who sells Mont (there’s only one). They have a good reputation with local designers, and their online reviews are almost all positive. But there are a few people who haven’t had a great experience (this is probably going to be true if any fabricator - it certainly is in my area). The company that is allowing the fabricator to sell their products should be willing to get involved if necessary. I actually have Cambria at another property and am having an issue that is 100% a fabrication issue, and the fabricator has not held up their end (this is a different fabricator than the one that carries Mont). I am close to having to call Cambria to ask for their help. So I’ve learned that the fabricator matters most, but I need the company whose name is on the product to be reputable as well. Especially since in this case, the fabricator is not a company that my designer has an account with, so she will not have influence to leverage in the event of an issue.

@btydrvn I don’t understand you’re comment. Do you mean buy locally? That is what I would be doing - buying from a local fabricator that carries the Mont product. Or do you mean a local product?
