Bathroom sinks/vanity are IN bedroom, not bathroom- HUH?
Comments (30)My parents house is like that, but there’s a wall with a wide doorway into the area with the vanity, so it’s open but also easy to close off by just putting a curtain rail up. It’s also oriented to the room such that if you only use enough light at the vanity to wash your hands for a midnight potty run, it really isn’t enough to bother someone in the bed if you place the bed sensibly. Getting ready in the morning would be trickier if you needed to do makeup and so on so needed proper lighting, so that’s where a screen or a curtain would come in....See MoreSmall under mount sink for bathroom
Comments (3)Dainey, You will have to have a solid surface or natural stone top with an undermount sink. You can special order a solid surface top with integral bowl from Leslie Marble, thru Lowes. That would be the most economical solution. You can get natural stone tops with many different style sinks, but the 18" dimension limits you. I would go to one of the big box stores and look at all your choices. Hope that helps, Dan...See MoreUnder bathroom sink pull-out
Comments (9)Nice Olychick :) I have always loved your vanity and used it as my inspiration. Janelor, I have some clear square and rectangle containers that, contain :) I have liked using the tubs for different thinks. On the left side under the narrow pull out I have cleaning supplies. They just fit under there. On the right side under the narrow pullout I have various other odds and end. In the front I have a long refrigerator container that is about 3" x 14" or something, it fits across the back to take up the depth of the other containers. I leave the center low and store my cleaning rags. The front area between the 2 containers, and in front of the drain, I store a roll of paper towels, upright. In my right narrow upper tray I store my hair dryer, brush, and hair spray. In the Left upper I store odds and ends, light extra toothpaste, mouth wash, hand lotion. And I keep the hand lotion right there at the entry so I can open the door and pump directly into my hand. I don't keep it on the counter. I do have a soap pump installed in my counter so the left upper drawer needs to be kept neat at the back or the contents can bump into my soap reservoir at the back, where it hangs down from under the counter pump. I love it. Olychick has a very nice pull out setup. I think she would post a link to her reveal. Or you can do a search for her reveal, maybe in 2012 or 2011, in GW....See MoreBathroom vanity undermount sink shape advice, under cabinet lighting
Comments (3)Ikea vanity looks really nice. Thanks for sharing. We looked at vanities from Wayfair, AllModern, Ikea, etc., but opted to work with a local woodworker. It felt good to support a neighborhood artisan. When we come up for air we'll have him craft built-ins and purchased add'l Walnut with that in mind. At this point the Brio valves are roughed in for the shower and wall mount lav faucet so there's no turning back. To clarify, my question is when pairing an undermount sink with a wall mounted faucet and 24x20 countertop for use in a master bath - what's the most functional shape or is there no discernible difference?...See Moresuezbell
