I think you could have saved all this hassle and gone with Godmorgon from Ikea . Much better storage and the sink is included 24” wide wall hung and less that 400.00

We looked at vanities from Wayfair, AllModern, Ikea, etc., but opted to work with a local woodworker. It felt good to support a neighborhood artisan. When we come up for air we'll have him craft built-ins and purchased add'l Walnut with that in mind.

At this point the Brio valves are roughed in for the shower and wall mount lav faucet so there's no turning back.

To clarify, my question is when pairing an undermount sink with a wall mounted faucet and 24x20 countertop for use in a master bath - what's the most functional shape or is there no discernible difference?

• countertop real estate: simply a function of the area of the sink
• cabinet storage space: primary impediment is the trap; carpenter will have to cut drawer to avoid hitting it
• splash: water should hit the drain to minimize splashing. It would have been better if you had chosen the sink first and then picked a faucet whose spout was the appropriate length. Maybe you can reverse-engineer.
• clean up: my sink is rectangular and it's harder to clean than a sink without corners.
