Bradington Young Prayer Meeting Today
Comments (8)Update: This replacement arrived today. I unpack it and look it over carefully - the workmanship on this unit (tailoring) is far better that the one that preceded it. So were two other B-Y recliners that arrived along with it. Alas, a successful replacement was not to be. I unfolded the footrest portion of the recliner and the 'tuck-under' segment has a long 14" scratch across the hide, right in the middle of the piece from side to side. I know I didn't do it unpacking it, so it was done at the B-Y shipping dock. My customer expects delivery on this, so I unbolt the piece (easy, four screws) to see if it was swappable with the exact same model and hide of the one in my store. Imagine my surprise when I fold out that footrest and it has the exact same scratch on it! I call B-Y and tell them these are both coming back to them Next Day Air for hide replacement and I must have them back by Friday. Suggest they find out the cause of this issue as clearly is something that has been occurring. It looks exactly like someone grabbed the piece by the front using a furniture hand truck and the nose blade dug into the footrest, but they tell me no hand truck ever touches it as it comes down a conveyor belt to the shipping department. They will have to figure it out and it appears from the conversation this is not the first occurrence of this long scratch in the 4229 chair. I'm disappointed. Its no good to constantly have to work on issues with new-in-the-box pieces and I will probably either discontinue B-Y in my store at this point or remove them from having floor presence once the existing inventory is sold down. markfromsc....when you ask for quotes (I assume you got one from me) please be sure to ask for recommendations at the same time and I will gladly tell you my thoughts honestly and sincerely. If you just ask for a price, thats all you'll get considering the volume of email I get. Thanks Duane Collie...See MoreBradington leather vs. Alexander Taylor leather
Comments (3)I third the motion on Bradenton-Young. We purchased our leather recliner 15 years ago. It has held up well, cushions are still firm and comfy and leather in excellent condition. The chair mechanism did not survive a gymnastics move by a child who shall remain nameless...but the customer service was excellent and they sent out a replacement immediately (this chair has a particularly long warranty) .....See MoreHancock & Moore leather 'City Sofa' -- I have questions
Comments (44)I need help - I recently purchased 2 HM recliners - it's only been a few months but so far I really like them, though we have had an issue already with the cushions. The cushions we got were not the same ones that the chairs had in the store. But they are replacing them. After months of contemplating purchasing the Journey sofa & bringing home leather samples, all Class 2 (document and cavalier) we finally made the purchase this past Fri. night - bought the Journey Sofa in Cavalier Hunter Green - so excited-put the required 25% down and was told it would be 4 mos till it would be delivered. I was willing to wait that long because this is the sofa and color we really want. Unfortunately, today I got a call from the store and they said the leather I picked can only go on the City Sofa. I can only chose from Document she told me-otherwise if I want the Cavalier it will cost me $$$$$$ - I can't believe I find out after 2 mos of shopping at this store. I feel like it's bait and switch. Does anyone know where I can get the Journey Sofa with the Cavalier Hunter Green without paying out the wazoo!!! This shouldn't be so confusing and misleading. Now i need to stop the transaction and start the whole process over. Up until reading this no one at the store I've been working with ever mentioned this "married" issue of the leater and the sofa's. I'm so disappointed...See MoreWho has the best prices for Hancock & Moore sofas?
Comments (36)My store in Alexandria VA ships nationwide on Hancock and Moore, I have customers all over the country including many in Illinois. Send me an email to keepingroom@gmail.com and include the model number, the leather cover you are interested in and your zip code and I will get a quote back to you in less than 24 hours. Some notes on pricing. 1) Be sure you get a dealer that stands behind you after the sale, the lowest price is no good if they ignore your phone calls should there be an issue. 2) Home delivery services cost three times more than delivery to a commercial address (18 wheeler accessible off the back of the truck). If you have the capability to unpack it and transport the last mile to your home you can save quite a bit in that area. 3) There are significant price increase coming in January 2021. Supply chain costs have gone up considerably. 4) Century Furniture (Rock House Brands) owns Hancock and Moore. Century has already implemented collection of Sales Tax into Illinois for that brand, its only a matter of time before you will be paying sales tax on H&M into your state as they consolidate accounting systems, this is likely to happen in 2021 as well, along with all the other Rock House Brand Companies. Currently we are shipping Hancock and Moore without that sales tax added. Duane Collie...See MoreLexi Cooper
