Comments (4)Mattyc, I have a VERY aggressive spam filter on my email as I get close to 500 spam hits in my email a day. I always reply within 2 to 10 hours on every request, but you may not have made it past the spam filter. Be sure to put "HANCOCK AND MOORE" in the subject line as I'll see that when I review the spam catches. If you don't put a subject line in, or put in something generic I'll never see it. Unfortunately, spam has ruined email usage as a whole and there is no easy way to combat it. Duane Collie...See MoreHancock & Moore leather 'City Sofa' -- I have questions
Comments (44)I need help - I recently purchased 2 HM recliners - it's only been a few months but so far I really like them, though we have had an issue already with the cushions. The cushions we got were not the same ones that the chairs had in the store. But they are replacing them. After months of contemplating purchasing the Journey sofa & bringing home leather samples, all Class 2 (document and cavalier) we finally made the purchase this past Fri. night - bought the Journey Sofa in Cavalier Hunter Green - so excited-put the required 25% down and was told it would be 4 mos till it would be delivered. I was willing to wait that long because this is the sofa and color we really want. Unfortunately, today I got a call from the store and they said the leather I picked can only go on the City Sofa. I can only chose from Document she told me-otherwise if I want the Cavalier it will cost me $$$$$$ - I can't believe I find out after 2 mos of shopping at this store. I feel like it's bait and switch. Does anyone know where I can get the Journey Sofa with the Cavalier Hunter Green without paying out the wazoo!!! This shouldn't be so confusing and misleading. Now i need to stop the transaction and start the whole process over. Up until reading this no one at the store I've been working with ever mentioned this "married" issue of the leater and the sofa's. I'm so disappointed...See MoreHancock & Moore sofa and Lexington questions?
Comments (18)UPDATE for BasketballMom..... SORRY I was incorrect on which sofa I sat on. I stated I sat on the Evening but it was the September sofa. Today we went back to Lexington Furniture for more research and help from the salesperson with which we're doing business. I like the looks of the Evening and a few others a little better than the Austin we are also considering. The Evening may work for us but we definitely need to consider the cushion type. When we sat in it we DID NOT lean way back (as we did in the September). However the cushions are Ultra Down/seat and back---they sit firmer. We're ordering anyway so we have a lot of options. H & M will make this sofa with their standard foam seat cushions along with Ultra Down back cushions if we wish. Whatever our choice, I feel we should keep seat and back cushions the same (all standard seat & back or all Ultra Down seat & back). Our salesperson and one of the owners really gave us a good education---we all learned something from fooling around with cushions today. Whether going with standard or down, all seating will "break in" and be more comfortable after some use. Try to find where you can sit in both types to see the difference. Standard cushions are more bouncy in a good way. In a furniture showroom some seating isn't as firm as when it first comes in due to being sat in and tried out. On three cushion sofas try sitting on the middle cushion and see the difference as to the side cushions---most people sit on a side cushion when trying out furniture. Lord the list goes on, doesn't it? I know exactly what I'm looking for so I will be traveling to Louisville and maybe Cincinnati to hopefully sit in an Evening with standard cushions or an Austin without the bustle back. I will be very clear, when approached by a salesperson, that I'm just looking. Good luck and let me know how your search goes....See MoreHancock & Moore Leather Sofa Deal - Should I?
Comments (23)Thank you all so much for the advice and information. I think you're right that I really need to sit down and think about this purchase more, rather than just jumping in feet first because of the "good deal". It sounds like if I like it enough to be the largest thing in the space, it will work with what I have and it will be a great quality piece. But, if I find myself doing this for the deal, then maybe I should reconsider and look elsewhere. Thank you, my3dogs for the pictures of the H&M September sofa in a darker color. I have to say, I'm liking the style a lot more seeing it in the darker color. Though I do still have similar concerns about the "heaviness" of the sofa. Wow, runninginplace, that's a really lovely sofa. I thought Thomasville was on par cost-wise with H&M. Maybe I need to do more searching locally to see exactly what is available and what I can find on sale. That's a great point about the fact that I'm considering the "life" of the sofa in my house....See MoreRelated Professionals
