Some notes on pricing. 1) Be sure you get a dealer that stands behind you after the sale, the lowest price is no good if they ignore your phone calls should there be an issue. 2) Home delivery services cost three times more than delivery to a commercial address (18 wheeler accessible off the back of the truck). If you have the capability to unpack it and transport the last mile to your home you can save quite a bit in that area. 3) There are significant price increase coming in January 2021. Supply chain costs have gone up considerably. 4) Century Furniture (Rock House Brands) owns Hancock and Moore. Century has already implemented collection of Sales Tax into Illinois for that brand, its only a matter of time before you will be paying sales tax on H&M into your state as they consolidate accounting systems, this is likely to happen in 2021 as well, along with all the other Rock House Brand Companies. That's a killer price, Tina - best I've ever seen BY FAR. I don't think you'll find a better price anywhere as dealer cost on that piece is $ 1,599.00 on the Town and Country Promo Sheet before any shipping charges. Assuming you pay by credit card, thats 2 % more the dealer pays out in costs(another $ 42.00) which means a razor thin margin that really is not sustainable for a viable business. H&M has a one-price policy, and high volume dealers do not get a lower dealer cost. Document leather is an excellent hide, and though this is 'married cover' for H&M, it is domestic supplied, not imported from China. It's not an inferior hide. Photos on the web site do not detail which hide is what series, nor would it be truly representative, too much color and shade variances from hide-to-hide and also color monitor corrections. People ask me all the time why furniture stores are going out of business left and right (even Boyles in NC is floundering right now), and its because of prices like this. One simply cannot operate a brick and mortar store on those margins. While this is excellent for you as a consumer, the current state of thought among furniture retailers is they have to beat the other guy no matter what. Its not sustainable (even with high volume) and they close up because they can't feed their family and send their kids to college making $ 20,000 a year income. Store are failing all over the country in the rush to be the deepest discounter, then find they can't pay their bills, payroll or rent and are forced to close. A good SALE price on that sofa would be $ 2,599.00 these days and ten years ago it would have been $ 2,999.00. How they can sell this at $ 2,082 is beyond my understanding, unless they are really hitting you on the back end with high delivery fees. I don't normally share dealer cost prices on an item, but did so here to illustrate a point. Retailers selling at this price cannot give you after-the-sale service and probably won't be there next year (or the year after that), but I certainly don't blame anyone for taking advantage of that pricing as a consumer. I'm shocked, quite honestly, at this low a price and I've been in this business for 22 years now. The profit from this sale doesn't even cover operating costs for a retail storefront. Take advantage of it while you can, I would decline to even price-match that one. May I ask which store quotes this low? I'm curious as I would like to see how much longer they can stay in business. -Duane

I am going furniture shopping in North Carolina this weekend. I am flying into Raleigh/Durham airport and I am renting a car. I am shopping for leather furniture. My parents bought Hancock & Moore from Boyles in Hickory and they love it. I am planning on buying Hancock & Moore but was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on other manufacturers that I should consider. I want to stay in the same quality class as the Hancock & Moore. Also does anyone have any information on the Boyles stores. I went to their website and see they have multiple stores (Hickory, Highpoint, Raleigh, etc.) Do all their stores have the same pricing or are some discounted based on where they are located?? Naturally I am trying to minimize the driving time and if I can receive the same pricing in Raleigh as Hickory than I will just stay there. Are there any other stores that have Hancock & Moore that someone would suggest over Boyles?
