I need help with a paint color. Can anyone recommend a green color that you accent with? It is mostly used in country or cottage decor. Country and I'd think of a sage green, like Sherwin Williams Svelte Sage or Clary Sage. Cottage and Apple Greens seem to fit. For a spunky apple green I like SW's Lime Rickey. Very fun. A bit *calmer* in the apple green category would be Great Green and Baize Green also Ryegrass and Shagreen. Also I want to paint my countertops. They are currently dk blue formica. Ugh! If you want to paint them, then you want to paint them. But... there are worse things to make work in a room than dark blue counter tops. Especially if you partner it with a fresh green wall color. The dark blue is not neutral, true, and changing out decor with the seasons could be challenging, but wouldn't think impossible. Especially if you thread red thru the seasonal decorations and end up using a green on the walls - you'd have a classic RGB color scheme, red, green, blue.

Looking at the shade of blue you've chosen, I would paint the stairway beige. (The blue might make it seem like a cave, and you certainly don't want use the brown, great color, but too dark for an entire stairway...) Is the ceiling in the kitchen freshly painted? I think the soffit would look okay painted to match the ceiling. If you want the seamless look, certainly paint it brown to match the walls. I tend to go with that opinion when I am asked for work. (I have my own small business.) Also, it's a bit easier! Looks like you have decent cabinets! Seems like a cute house!

I currently have Elephant Tusk in my home along with three other shades on that card including rich cream, desert tan and cork. Why not use rich cream or or desert tan? I have desert tan in my kitchen and I love it. If you use the shades from that card, you're home will blend nicely. Good Luck!

Your kitchen is beautiful!! Who knew choosing a paint color would be this difficult?!?LOL I really like wedgewood gray and this is possibly the color for DD(10) bedroom's. Thank goodness she hated the pale pink once it was on her walls and we're more then happy to repaint her room. Do you have any inspiration pictures? The colors that you've narrowed down are so different in style but nonetheless they're very pretty. I think sarchlos and nanabella are on the right track with a taupey gray to compliment the gray floor tiles and beige carpet. I'm sorry I wasn't of more help.
