Today, show me triangles.

Lots of triangles formed by the bridge structure.

#1DD helped me make masks for the REACH classroom. Our shield is mostly a triangle. LOL

One of the rooms on display at the Metropolitan Museum in NYC - pretty sure that's my sister in the mirror. She volunteers there and took me on a tour when I visited in 2019 And this is a detail from a gorgeous painting by Gustave Moreau - King David - at the Hammer Museum in L.A. - it's a wonderful place with a stellar permanent collection of paintings, and absolutely free to everyone. The angel bears a strong resemblance to my step-granddaughter when she was around 9. And I want to thank you, Annie for these threads. Participating has me reviewing my photo collections more than I ever did before, and brings up all kinds of good memories 🙂

Whistling ducks at the boat ramp - they're so odd-looking. I had to look them up to learn what they were. Hard to tell in the photo, but their bills and feet are bright pink.

Two. My favorite pocket-sized rocks (doesn't everyone pick up rocks, lol). A memento from DH's early childhood. (The red scale is a replacement made by DD for a scale broken off many years ago.)

I found another triangle as I was photographing our new sofa
Triangular piece of zebra hide - a remnant from an upholstery job at work. I am still working on getting a selection of pillows, and the zebra tapestry fabric is merely laid in place - I plan to make two pillows like that.

Nicole, that zebra is the real deal, but the fabric on the pillow on the sofa is a tapestry weave, and I have not made the pillows yet, as I am waiting for new pillow forms.

The dining chair is actually very comfortable, and I designed it specifically to fit my body. I made a cardboard model for the chair before it was manufactured, and I fitted the cardboard chair back to my back so that the contour would be correct and so that it would be low enough on the ends to be comfortable. I wish I had a pair of these chairs, and I don't know how to get any of them now, as the company has closed its doors😞.

Here's a cardboard model I made for a similar chair, but this one has an upholstered back, and so it was easier:
This was still a relatively difficult model to make because of the compound curves, and so it took me a while to get the shape the way I wanted it. Without the model, the frame makers would not have known how to make this, as it was also difficult to draw in orthographic projection. This version is an occasional chair.
