looking for whole house color palette
Comments (3)People here will have wonderful suggestions, but always, always get samples you can see with your own eyes, as screen monitors will be inaccurate. And look at those samples together -- so you can determine what really fits with something else, even if you have to pay for several pieces of tile or countertop. Here's my poster child example of that: I ordered this countertop sample because I wanted some green -- it was a little too busy, but I figured if it turned out right, I could make it work: countertop sample It arrived. The greens were pea green, and the browns were sweet potato orange. It looked like someone had just eaten a meal of both items, and promptly regurgitated. Not a meme I wanted in my kitchen, thank you! At any rate, both Sherwin Williams and Behr have color palates you can pick up at Lowe's or Home Depot, respectively, aimed for different styles of need. I've done that for my interior paint, as additional help....See MoreWhite on white/neutral color palette options
Comments (2)I used white dove, a very popular white, for my kitchen trim and I think I used super white in my living room and dining rooms. They are all separate rooms so the colors are not seen against each other. I really like the collingwood, but I don't like the super white with the cloud cover. If it were me, I'd pick one white for the trim and the cabinets. Have you considered white dove?Or cloud white?Consider satin for your trim instead of semi-gloss. It gives up the same durable washable surface with less sheen. Also matte finish for the walls, more washable than flat. Flat is ok for ceilings....See MoreColor palette for historic house with light gray roof
Comments (14)It would look better if you just painted the gable white. I would paint the front of the porch gable white, too. Paint the ceiling a haint blue, either Woodlawn Blue or Blue Allure. If you want to paint the whole house, consider Benjamin Moore Saybrook Sage and Navajo White for the gables and all the trim. The front door would look stunning in Newburyport Blue. Prune some of you bushes that are too big and those that need a more natural shape, smaller on the top than the bottom. Use a hand pruner, not an electric trimmer....See MoreNew house - needs color palette and furniture layout for living room
Comments (1)You'll get the best help if you can please provide us with a hand drawn floor plan and measurements. Please label where the living room and dining room is on the floor plan. A couch and chairs are easier to decorate than a sectional. Bland is not bad - it gives you a lot of options - it doesn't limit you. If you want to pick out your style, put in top HOUZZ search box (one at a time) different styles. Here are just a few - transitional, modern, traditional, eclectic, casual. Regarding your mirror - just keep in mind that mirrors are best when they have an interesting reflection....See MoreH D
