Comments (6)Thanks everyone for replying every one, so nice to be able to ask for help on this forum and someone always replies. Geebus yes i'd say there the same brom and that one also also came from FNQ, just wished it had a name but hope ye t of someone naming it. Avane i also thought of A.Victoriana with black tips to flowers but didnt think there was any others with a black flower. I have been busy in my brom house for last 2 weeks stocktaking of all broms so i know what i have and what i don't have anymore, I took pics of this section when i had finished, and thought I'd put here to show, the picture doesn't do it justice, it looked so beautiful with naked eye as sun was low in sky and broms catching the glow from it and this Vriesea Nova (I think the name has been changed but not sure to what ??) looking almost transparent in this photo, again maybe position of sun or maybe the stones and colouring in brom making it look that way. V. Fosterina-White lines, also looking kinda weird with light reflecting on leaves...See MoreFiguring out your style? Design help please!
Comments (13)How would you describe your style? Some people combine styles, such as old world, craftsman, cottage....or modern, coastal, cabin. If that doesn't work, think about what you really love in a home. Do you want built-ins? Do you love the look of window seats with shelves on both sides or fireplace with cabinets below the windows on each side. Do you like everything balanced or quirky? Or maybe very clean lined? Here's an idea...do you want a fireplace? If you do...would it have bookcases on each side? Windows on each side? Bookcase on one side...with window on the other? No bookcases or windows, but just the fireplace on a wall with artwork? No fireplace and just a huge TV and DVD storage? After you figure out your 'style' you still have to make some compromises to get the technology of the 21st century to fit (depending on whether you have modern or old-world tastes). Whatever you like, think about the light, the views, the way rooms will open to each other, as you plan. It might be a good idea to go to the library and look through "The Not So Big House" and other books, to see how they use the views through rooms, as well as the way spaces relate to each other. All these things will help you 'see' the house in your head, then on paper, then in real life. Hopefully your image is what you end up with...or maybe even better :)...See MorePlease help with designing our galley kitchen!! Designers help!
Comments (15)If teal isn’t doing it for you that blue color is really pretty too and still would look gray with brass and the grey floor tile! I found a few good options on amazon for the hardware by searching brass square pulls and also these on way fair: https://www.wayfair.com/Hamilton-Bowes--Ventoux-5-Center-Bar-Pull-24128SB-24128SCOP-L1123-K~HMBW1035.html?refid=GX293766718941-HMBW1035_40348394&device=m&ptid=762818256643&network=g&targetid=pla-762818256643&channel=GooglePLA&ireid=83020192&fdid=1817&PiID[]=40348394&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIsbjP3fmW5AIVgrfsCh1oWwbcEAQYDSABEgIS_PD_BwE Here is a link to a similar light fixture! https://www.bellacor.com/productdetail/elegant-lighting-ld6042br-eclipse-brass-and-frosted-white-12-inch-one-light-pendant-2116486.htm?partid=googlePLA-DataFeed-Pendants-2116486&kpid=2116486&utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=Shopping_-All_Products(NEW)&utm_term=&utm_content=multi-converters_(2-5)&gclsrc=aw.ds&&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIv_64qPqW5AIVFKrsCh0HGQGgEAQYCCABEgJyK_D_BwE I think the subway tile will look classic and gives you more leeway to get a countertop that can be the star! If you picked the geometric backsplash I would say go for simple very toned down counters....See MoreAny design gurus out there? Need help w/ exterior door/garage colors!
