Transition from dark brown tile to wood - wood color

We would like to update living room (very small) and upstairs with engineerd hardwood.
The first floor is L shape:starting thr top of the L shape, living room, dining room, and kichen are all in one long /narrow space. Then next to the living room is the entrance, then an office to the right.
Currently. kitchen/dining and entrance tile is Daltile Willow Bed WB02 Smoky Brown from the builder. The living room and the office have light color carpet. We would like to replace carpet eith engineered hardwood.
Personally, we like lighter color wood flooring but we are not sure lighter color wood flooring will look like a patch with all dark brown tile.
Putting dark floor to match current tile would make the house smaller and darker. Second floor and stairs will be too dark with dark brown flooring.
Please advise! Thank you.
