Landscape Design New to Gardening garden

what type of grass is this?

if you can't tell from the picture, it is short and mounding (each clump is about 1-1.5' tall and wide) and green with a thin white edge on each blade. I tried using PictureThis to identify it and it came up with Tibetan Mondo Grass, but it doesn't flower or grow berries (TMG does). The blades do look like lilyturf foliage. Does anyone know what this is? More importantly, can I divide and tranplant it? I want to use it in my front yard in a section that gets full sun. Thanks!

Looks like a variegated sedge to me, Carex species. Perhaps C. morrowii or oshimensis.

Spring would be the usual time to split up a plant like this.

Sorghastrum nutans has inflorescence branches that are less dense, and its anthers (at least here) are yellow, instead of red like shown. That looks more like Saccharum (previously Erianthus), to me. There isn't enough detail in the photos to suggest a species.

One looks like Tall fescue, and the other Dallis grass. The Dallis grass( and other weeds in the picture) can be killed with 'Bayer advanced all in one'. The Tall fescue has to be sprayed with 'Round up' the resulting dead spot re-seeded a couple weeks later.
