Cutting 4 Edges of Rectified Porcelain Slabs?

Hi Houzz Community,

We have recently purchased Porcelain slabs (5'x10') for wall. The slabs are rectified from manufacture. Upon talking to fabricators, they are trained to take like 1/2" off each sides before doing another cuttings on them to relief pressure. I believe that is what manufactures recommend for non-rectified product (they have to be cut any way since the print don't go all the way to the beveled edge). What about rectified product? If my understanding is correct, rectified slabs are already cut/grind at the perimeter by the manufacture. Cutting again doesn't make much sense to me...

I already emailed the manufacture but it might take a while to get an answer. I would like to see if there are any pro's here that knows more about this. Again, this is for porcelain slabs.

Thanks!
