I would remove the shutters due to the style of the house and windows. A gray-green similar to this photo will work with your brick and roof colors. Landscaping will make a big difference, too.

Correct. For one thing, double windows are really too wide for properly sized shutters. Each shutter (decorative or functional) should be half the window's width. That would result in very wide shutters on your double windows that can look odd. Your smaller window on the right is sized right so maybe a better option for shutters. Again, the style of the house and windows doesn't seem suited for shutters. I'm not a pro so see what others can suggest here.

Nichole any chance of getting the windows in a different color to match the green or coordinating color like bronze? then switch your lights to match?

Keeping the shutters is, of course, up to you. Opinions vary greatly when it comes to windows and shutters. Most shutters I see aren't sized right and/or are on the wrong style of window. Some people even put them on bay windows which makes no sense at all.

Dark sage green as shown above would look great. Have to suggest that getting professional landscaping with a mix of shrubs, perennials, small tree with peach and orange blossoms would greatly enhance your house. I'm also a member of the absolutely no shutters club. If you could get bronze window frames, that would be a wonderful change as well, or ivory--no stark white.

I like it but might go just a bit darker. Soft white/cream would be a nice trim choice with sage siding.

What web site or program did you use for this? I tried to use the one on Behr's site but struggled to get the pain between the lines. I like the navy door idea.

IDK...the Iron Ore and Navy look really dark and harsh. For me they pull a lot of focus from the rest of the house and make it look "unbalanced." However, I know we're all different with color choices.

Was just thinking...when you get around to landscaping, something tall planted on either side of the small window would fill in that area nicely. Or, maybe something climbing on a trellis.

we've decided to side the front of the house with vinyl siding and cedar shake. Going to go with the color "soft willow" just curious what you all thought about the trim. bright white or an off white.. below you can see the new color we are using. After all of the advice here, the shutters will not be going back up and we are replacing all of the windows. After its all said and done we will move on to the landscape. Oh yeah, and I need a new front door. Let me know what you think. Thanks!! The trim options are white birch or classic sand
