Comments (7)Thank you. I didn't touch the Rose or Clematis, except to remove two errant rose canes. That Salvia got much larger than indicated on the plant tag and I am learning to expect that and plan for at least an additional 1-2 feet in each direction, with our year-long growing season and rich clay soil. Now I am on the hunt for waterwise plants for the foreground....See MoreOur Thanksgiving Transformation! Before & After Pictures!
Comments (33)Thanks everyone again! I truly am grateful for so many things this year. cheril 27 The knobs and pulls are Top Knobs vmilmeis I'm sorry but I'm not familiar with Swiss Coffee. The trim was originally stained and I primed and painted it. A new coat of paint was put on to match the new cabinets. I bought a can of Linen White and painted a piece of cardboard about the size of a cabinet. I lived with it and looked at the color in various lights. Worth the can of paint. My kitchen is very bright so the Linen White is a good choice for my space. loves2cook4six My pantry area was behind the closet on the right. The closet on the left held extra pantry items, the vacuum, extra table leaves, platters etc. neesie I second guessed so many decisions during the process EXCEPT the company we chose. They were truly professional and on schedule. My husband and I started the whole process in February - researching cabinetry, meeting with different stores/builders in our area. We first met with the custom cabinet company in June- signed the contract in mid July. Installation began in early October - finished second week in November. I'm sorry if the six weeks start to finish was misleading. Installation was six weeks and problem free. debbiesull Grohe K4 faucet; Elkay ELU281610 undermount no reveal stainless sink...See MoreA Very Brady Renovation
Comments (22)I really hate the late 60's early 70's aesthetic, and yet seeing it make me feel oddly comforted and nostalgic. For tacky stuff! We had a studio couch for years in our family room, with a quilted cover, although our was solid orange, with large oversized lamps and paneling. It has some comfort and warmth to it, I will say that. But avocado and orange for the kitchen, frankly I think that was even a reasonable "no" back then. Harvest gold or brown with orange, but green and orange, what acid trip was the person on who dreamed that up. My mom paired orange as an accent with gold, yellow and brown, but our stove and fridge was white. It was sure a highly visual look for the TV show, which I think was part of the reasoning behind the over the top decorating, even for that time . . . But hey, it was the high point for the middle class and they weren't afraid to bring the bling at that time . . . My childhood bedroom was very colorful . . . ahem. I loved the psychedelic prints back then. I was a kid, they were bright and shiny . . ....See MoreOur New Fence, Garden Courtyard and Backyard with After/Before Photos
Comments (39)yogi_mi5a The flagstone patio was made from flagstone my husband had thrown behind the shed when he replaced a front walkway years ago with pavers. He gave away a bunch of it and we had some left over (probably not the nicest pieces which had been picked thru when he gave it away- but thankfully there was enough to do a flagstone patio and some flagstone stairs for a small hill. I like to reuse whenever I can!...See MoreWayne Emerson
