(Tqtqtbw) -I like the rug but I think it’s what initially started my road to warm colors. I would like to get away from all of that and make the room brighter with the grey scale area and maybe some pops of color throughout? -The art on the walls are on the walls just to be on the walls to be quite honest. The art above the zenith has the colors I would to incorporate in the space. I have several items that are glass blown (small scale as the piece on the table). I love art glass and if possible would like to incorporate that into everything. I can take a picture of the collection later. -The dining room rug does have some similar colors but not as much as the rug in the LR. I agree with the small knick-knacks throughout the house. I really love eclectic not every day items. Contemporary items you really wouldn’t typically see in a house. I think that may have been the route of some of the problems here. (PATRICIA) -I agree with the black credenza. I would like to keep it maybe in another room if painted. Addressing the TV and the speakers. The TV will be hung on the wall with the cords hidden in the wall. As far as the speaker encasement, that’s actually the bottom part of the shelving. I’ve attached a picture of the shelf/speaker encasement. The shelf is already built. We’re waiting to paint both (off white) and assemble them on top of each other. The idea is to frame the TV (per request of husband). Regarding the breakfast room, our intention isn’t to use it as a breakfast room because we are in a small space we chose to have a dining room over having another table in the way. It’s just my husband and I.

Depending upon her age, you could ask your daughter and follow her preference for her room. If the issue for you is the visual of it rather than spacing: With curtains on the window that hide the side window frames, you couldn't tell that wall behind the headboard is not as wide as the headboard. That might help the visual vibe. If you like the no curtain open window look, you could use both sheers and a pair of drape panels for each window and only cover the side window frames, leaving the shears in the middle to "cover" the window itself. Alternately, you could use a double rod and have the sheers on the inner rod and have the option to leave the curtains or drapes open or closed. You might also consider a different option: Change the bed to a metal frame (with wheels) -- without any headboard or foot board -- and use the window to the right of the chest of drawers as a headboard -- leaving the other windows unadorned, use curtains to create a theme at the head of the bed that represents your daughter's current interest.

Here is a picture of our room as we have it laid out. You can see the large ottoman that we use. It is great for toys, blankets, pillows and just about anything. Below you will also see the 3D rendition of your formal dining room converted to a TV room. Also, this is suggested because having a formal dining area so disjointed from the kitchen area often means that it is seldom used. I know because we used to have a formal dining room like that. We used it maybe 2 or 3 times a year. Once we converted the room it is now used everyday. Converting the front room is the surprise. So here goes: Here is the copy of the 3D floor plan copied from your blueprint. In this you will see that the currant family room has been converted to an open and easily accessible gathering place and the formal dining area is spiffed up for both everyday use, gettogethers, and holidays. More 3D pictures below: You will find the following in the layouts below: Three 51 inch love seats. I would stick with the 51 inch love seat because it keeps the room open and easier to move in and out of. If you get larger ones it starts to make the room feel smaller and is harder to move in and around. Two couch side tables Two floor lamps One ottoman with reversible trays that when turned over become seat cushions and have storage beneath them. One basket with extra pillows and blankets or can be used for toys, games and so on. One entry table with one table lamp on it. This table can be used for additional storage in the drawer. There is a box underneath for additional storage. One large wall mirror to add more reflective light and become a faux window on that wall. The dining area speaks for itself. One nice large framed picture over the fireplace. Please know that the style and colors are not in anyway suggestions it is just for furniture placement and suggestions only. That’s a nice Barrister bookcase & would balance with the 3 drawer chest on other side of window. Is there enough space in that corner with the table & lamp that’s sitting there? Maybe the table would need to swap with white top table & that might be a good move with the open space there at entry point to room. It would be pretty under the oval mirror. Looks like a big job to unload & move bookcase to try out so maybe cut cardboard or paper to size of footprint to get a feel for floor space first. Or, tape the size out on floor. Love the lamp on book case and really love the flock of sheep! On a side note - the white stools - is one of them too low to sit on for putting shoes on / off in place of chair in entry? They’re sure the right color and size for space…. Just what you need - someone else moving your furniture around! 😁
