I would ditch the shutters

Leave the gutters white.

Remove shutters from the large window. Others can stay if you like them.

Do not paint windows.

I like your idea of a white house but you could also go dramatic.

Lose the shutters and all the shrubs. Can you make the front porch bigger and add a column at the corner of the overhang?

White gutters, no shutters, no paint on windows, window boxes if you have a green thumb and will be attentive to them. Remove the shrubs, and the fence. Upgrade the porch floor and add a column to give support to that corner of the roof. Have the big tree checked by a pro for soundness. It could really do a number on your home if circumstances came together just right.

I am sure if you get really good quality hand pruners and shears, you could bring the existing plants back to their proper size.

I like the white trim, so I would be inclined to suggest white gutters, although black would look good too. I think you can lose the shutters.

Yes, white gutters, no shutters, corner post, and changing out the decking by the door. If you can swing it budget-wise, concrete would be the best option. Is the fence covering a carport?

Thank y’all so much for your ideas I love them! Yes the fence is covering a car port which will probably be my next project but I want to keep the fence because I have 3 dogs!

Maybe eventually you can move the fence so it still encloses the yard but opens up the carport for your use.

If you extend the porch, make it look like a porch and not a parking pad!
