Since it appears you are sort of going in the glam direction I would look for drapes in a faux silk add some solar shades for light and heat control and get rid of the shutters which IMO block all the light and the view . Get a new chandelier that works better in your style and lower the art work too. I would probably do a very pale blue for the drapes and put some permanent solar shades on the upper windows before the sun fades the floors and all the furniture. If there is any way to remove the fringe from the rug in the DR do so.

I honestly hate the rug but it was a gift from my mother who now lives with me lol. So i try to work around it

I doubt that removing the tangle of fringe from the rug would hurt your mother's feelings. Truth is, she might not even notice, or might breathe a sigh of relief and wonder why she never did so. It seems you have a trio of matching pictures which are all very large for where they are hung. Is the wood framed piece more narrow than the square ones? If so, I would switch it with the one in the dining area. Both of those should be centered 5' above the floor. Since the two side by side ones are overpowering the slender glass table under them, and since you appear to have vertical space, I'd hang those two in a vertical stack with the bottom 5" above the table. I consider window treatments to be a long term investment like upholstered seating, so keep it neutral. That way, switching out your rug and art for a new color theme later on won't require new drapes. At your curved dining window I would simply flank the four windows with two stationary panels. At the bay window I would use four matching panels. Flanking the fireplace I would do a pair of mock roman shades in the same fabric as the panels. For you upper windows, I would try to find a high tech UV film to block out the sun fade issue. Be careful that the installation doesn't void any warranty you have on the windows.
