An ffo, some rebloom and clumps on Friday
Comments (18)Mantis and Julia - I think Skullduggery is only registered as having 15-16 buds. Mine, still in a pot, only has 6-8 buds per scape this year. I don't think I've ever had more than 15 buds per scape, and that was probably in the first year I had it. In the past, it's been a very reliable rebloomer. Being in a pot for several years, it has not multiplied very quickly. I have a lot - especially early bloomers - with very poor bud counts this year. We got NO rain to speak of in April, which is the opposite of what usually happens. I started watering my seedlings and the two beds by my seedling regularly in early May. The daylilies in those have much better bud counts than those I only watered a couple of times in May. Jean and Anika - Glitter Gal is a nice one. It is not diamond dusted. Where it glitters is the edge. It has a double edge - gold wire - that does glitter - and a fluffy white and gold edge with some tendrils and knobs. It can melt on a 95-degree day unless it's kept well-watered. It does fade somewhat, but still has a pleasant lavender color at the end of the day. It multiplies very quickly. Comments (17)Celeste - It's good to hear your Annabelle's Blush is thriving. That shows it can survive in the North. Maryl - I hope you will get rain soon. On the days I water Wild Apple Autumn in the mornings, it's a heat buster in the afternoons. But when I water it the night before, it wilts in hundred-degree temps. I like it because it's a late bloomer. In general, hot colored daylilies are not my favorites. But I've added some because I felt I needed more diversity in my gardens. Of the two late blooming Trimmers I added this spring, Lake Tahoe Autumn is my favorite. It has a more feminine feel. WAA is bold and dominating with a more masculine feel about it. Do you watch Dancing with the Stars? Lake Tahoe Autumn is the waltz, while Wild Apple Autumn is the paso doble. Debra...See MorePandora's Treasure - pic
Comments (18)Debra- Just wait until next year when all the Maryotts intros I got start blooming and I take pictures! I bought quite afew but not the newest ones and certainly not the $100.00 ones but Bill Maryott sent me so many of the intros as bonuses including many 2007 with many at $100 price value. Pandoras Treasure is one of the $100.00 2007 intros I got as a bonus. I just received 2007 $100.00 intro Play to Win yesterday with my latest Maryotts order. That was the one were you get the special bonus 3-fers of Rocket Blast (knock your socks off red, red, red). Play to Win was a large triple fan also with a ploliferation (spelling it wrong) that already has roots so that will be another fan for me. Plus my order for all this only came to just under $100.00 for 9 plants of Paradise City I ordered to increase my lates....See MoreA few more FFOs today
