A few more FFO in my garden
Comments (7)Your Texas Blue Eyes is so much prettier than mine! I started to take a pic of mine today, but just passed it on by. The heat and lack of rain is just wreaking havoc with my daylilies....See MoreMore FFOS SinceThis Weekend and Today
Comments (13)Thanks, everyone, for your nice comments. I need to make a correction--the garden shot is of the NORTH end--not south end. Right now the south end is a kind of work in progress. We are putting in new DLS down there, mostly hot colored one like Alabama Jubilee, Oranges For Christmas, and Screamcicle. AJ bloomed today, so look at my latest post to see the picture. Oranges For Christmas has one scape and I just found another one today, exciting!! Screamcicle is a small plant, may not be able to bloom this year, but I'm hoping it can do one scape because of our longer growing season. I want to answer Jean about yellow being a favorite color--I really don't have a favorite color, that would be impossible for me. There are just too many lovely daylilies of all colors for me to settle on just one. It just happens we put a lot of inexpensive yellows on that end because we wanted the bright color and the fragrance. Avedon...See MoreSib from yesterday and a few more FFOs
Comments (3)I like 1,3,4,5. I love the color of 1 & 3. #3 has everything I like, nice color, slight ruffling, white pencil line edge and green throat. I don't like the wide eye zones, the one here seems to just fit the daylily. Marg...See MoreBlooms on Sunday
Comments (8)So many nice ones! Dances with Giraffes, Patricia Snider Memorial and, of course, Tall Dark Stranger are my favorites today. Some really nice choices for additions to your gardens. Your Kingdom seedling is lovely. I’m wondering how the Her Best Bloomers seedling is different from HBB? I have HBB and love the color, it’s such a gorgeous red. Sherry...See Moremantis__oh
