I think I just lost this post. It included Dawn's 2019 Grow List. Okay, I'll try again. I'll have to pick something out to plant in her memory, although I already have some--the two most notable are verbena bonariensis and Laura Bush petunas. I have many, if not most of what she has, and will be working to tear a lot of those out this year, so I can replace them with natives. Daylilies and 4 o'clocks will be gone--if I can manage it. No vinca, crinum lilies, hibiscus, datura, hollyhocks, or salvia. I have a huge patch of cannas I'd love to gift someone. They don't get enough sun here, so don't bloom. Dawn's List. Aaron Rosarian- Truth is I rarely follow a recipe. I see photos on Pinterest and come up with my own version, usually cutting sugar out or way down. The store is sold out of my favorite Blue Bunny Vanilla Bean ice cream, so I'm making Key Lime Cheese Cake Sandwiches instead . A few years ago I had to rush to a luncheon with just a few minutes to prepare something sensational. I softened some Philly cream cheese , spread it on quarter length Honey Maid graham crackers sandwiched together, fanned them out on a silver platter, and they went over famously ! Someone asked for the recipe and was shocked to find out it was just two ingredients, cream cheese between grahams. In addition it's possible I might have used a drop of real Vanilla. Presentation has a lot to do with it. I probably lined the silver tray with baking parchment edge cut with wavy blade craft scissors , and it seems I put flowers at each end of the tray. I've used that silver tray for everything, it was one of the best investments. I'm going to add one more ingredient this time- key lime juice stirred into the cream cheese. Tonight after dinner is the taste test. No matter how Amara stares to guilt me, she doesn't get sweets, just a small sample of plain cream cheese. She has her own doggy treats and carrots loaded in her KONG toy. UPDATE for the Key Lime Cheesecake Sandwiches; This my Friends, is one sweet kick of flavor ! It's my new favorite party dessert when there isn't time to make something elaborate.

Thank you so much, Kitty! Funny story about the bistro set. I found it used, for sale, in a kijiji ad. Some lady was moving and selling almost everything. The house was an hour away in another city, but worth the drive for the price and pristine condition. When we arrived at the lady's house, she came to the door...and it as a long time family friend from my husband's side of the family. We had a huge laugh at the odds of that happening. Oh, I wanted to suggest, if you're looking to add foxgloves, definitely try starting them from seed. One year, I bought three plants from the nursery, and they cost me something like ten dollars each. The next year, I bought two packets of seeds instead. They were SO easy to start and I ended up with two entire flats of them. Made a world of a difference. (They are toxic, but my dog is never unattended. He has his own side yard.) The two varieties that will bloom the first year are Dalmatian and Camelot. (There might be others, but these are the ones I use) They live two years, but have been reseeding themselves nicely. ****************************** Thought I'd share a picture I just took of Bliss Parfuma. Oh my goodness, her fragrance is spectacular this year! I'm falling more and more in love with this rose. She's sitting beside me in a vase and I just want to drink in the scent.
