Dark green metal roof! What color do I paint the siding?
Hello friends, my cabin at Loon Lake BC needs a face lift! The exterior is a combo of white vinyl siding and vertical cedar siding in a faded green. The metal roof is a darker green. The numerous outbuildings are also currently white and green as well. I am really not a fan of the green and am thinking of painting all the green siding white. For the support posts and trims I am thinking to paint a shade of grey. What do you think? Will this be too much white?
Also any ideas you have to improve the look of the exterior is appreciated. Sometime in the past the cabin received an addition where half the deck was enclosed to increase the interior living space. This is the left side of the photo with the 3 windows and the two floors of vinyl siding. To my eyes there needs to be something to break up this big ugly wall. Thanks for your help! Cheers

A gray also would work, especially with white trim (warm or cool gray depends on the actual color of the roof -- unfortunately my monitor does not show colors at all true to life). Comments (7)I like this Timberline Natural Shadow. it's a nice charcoal color (left) On the right, is a warmer brown, which I don't care for as much stay with a warmer charcoal, or slate color. Appalachian Sky on this one would work nicely. this is Belleforte Slate Gray color. Looks nice w/this similar brick. and notice the accent colors You have some nice color in your brick. I think your door would look amazing if you painted a deep aubergine or plum. I love this plum door w/a soft white trim, and of course the plum/purple and golden tones in the landscaping would be perfect for your home. and this Black Garnet or Nocturne color would look beautiful for the trim areas you can paint or, these two btw, look at DaVinci roof tiles. they have some great color combos A slate color asphalt/faux slate tile roof could look great w/your brick. and the coordinating accent colors...See More1947 ranch with a green metal roof - help with paint colors!
Comments (5)I like the crisp white with the dark green roof. My sketch skills are terrible so this is rough. Widen your porch and add a walkway to the drive which would then deepen that left side flowerbed. Narrow beds are so limiting....See More
