That looks like a dining room?

They call it a parlor room? It can be a dining room but didnt think I would utilize very much. i was going back and forth to use it as a dining room or a lounge room? Ideas are appreciated

I think photos or a layout of the entire space would be helpful. Putting two seating areas adjacent to each other can feel awkward and it looks like this space is open. Not sure what you have in the rest of the space. What you have there now looks like dining room furniture (sideboard).

My family uses our dining room, so that's what I would do. But your use or needs may be different. Decide how you want to use the space and then go from there. If you entertain a lot, but don't host dinners, maybe you'd prefer extra conversation space. If you host a lot of dinners, maybe the dining table would be best. If you have gamers, maybe you need it as a gaming room. All depends on what you want to do.

I suspect it is intended as a dining room, although a combo fan/light isn’t what I would have chosen for the space. If you want to make it into a lounge, consider four comfortable chairs around a coffee table. I still would replace the lighting fixture with something more interesting. In the parlor area, you could set up four chairs with center cocktail table or ottoman.

I can always move the sideboard furniture piece to the dining room if i need too.

Right off the kitchen like that - its original purpose is probably as a dining room. Looks like the family room is at the end of the hallway. So, ask yourself if you want a separate seating area and if you'd use it as such. If that's your plan, the 4 seats as @ptreckel suggested would be how I would decorate as well.

I havent purchased any furniture for that front room. I like the idea with the 4 chairs and the ottoman in the middle. U suggest 4 gray chairs or should I go with a different color?

It looks like your walls, etc. are grey, so I would suggest doing a different color on chairs.

Could be just about any other color for chairs, but since this looks like an open concept space just keep in mind what your color plan is for living room in adjacent area.

I would start with finding a rug that you like first. To anchor the space. Something with gray, but other colors, too. What are your favorites? Blues? Greens? Taylor’s? Then you might pull a color from your rug for chairs. Art, too.

It's easy to over du the mirror look. I would exchange the lamps for something without mirrors.

This area could be a place to serve drinks with a couple of barrel chairs and a cocktail table.
