Tomato leaves wilting, curling, and dry?

Mabel Y

I just planted a tomato plant I acquired from a local nursery in some really nice potting soil mixed with fertilizer and soil amendment (with chicken manure), watered it a little bit after planting (accidentally got some leaves wet). The soil itself is ever so slightly moist, it's not bone dry but has some wetness to it. However, the leaves are curling/wilting and some ends are brittle. I'm afraid to over water for fear of root rot :(

The stem had some fuzz but I was able to rub it off (see pics). Any advice??
