    ...."Timber!"

Hopefully our tree guy will show up this week...we have more dead trees to come down. There's a disease that's hit all the ash trees and they have been dying. Sorry to see them go, but they're easy splitting for firewood.

    Trash duty.

When DH brushes Margaret he fills a bag with her hair and tells her to throw it away. She takes it down a flight of stairs to the laundry room and leaves it by the trash can and then waits for her treat.

    Tattoo Shop in Fort Lauderdale.

It's right next to the "Parrot" bar. It's packed with Eagles fans during football season. A home away from home :) we were there in November 2019 for short vacay and went there to watch the game, Eagles were playing the Dolphins, and yes we lost :(

The ash bore as certainly done havoc...not sure you are free to split and burn it. Around here they are very careful to "properly" dispose of diseased trees so as to prevent spreading...

Thanks Eld - Margaret thinks carrying and retrieving is her main job. She's forever picking up things that have fallen on the floor - socks, shoes, my purse and then gives them to someone - and of course then gets another treat.

Our huge hickory tree was taken down last month. It had been struck by lightning and was not healthy.

Tip of Bane's ear, which was shot off a week or so ago. I have a better pic of it, but can't get it to post. In the past few weeks, four of my horses have been shot with a pellet gun. Rita was first, shot in the hip. It abscessed. I thought it was a tumor....it came up so fast. I thought it looked like she had been shot, but surely not. Mariah came up shot in the center of her forehead. Bane with the tip of his ear shot off and Shadow shot in the shoulder. Pellet still in her. Our place borders 3 roads. There is only one spot on the place that anyone had access to that pasture. Fortunately I have another pasture I could move them to that is not alongside a road. I believe kids did it.

Why are there such awful people in the world? I hope it never happens again to them, Marilyn.

Another Timber! Part of an oak tree down along our driveway.

Marilyn, maybe put a hunting camera up in that spot to see if you can catch those awful people. That is just not right.

    Nicole, stunning picture!!

Mine is one of my favorite Teapots. I had the best dream last night. I got a chance to ride Teddy again and it made me so happy!!

Marilyn, have you notified the Sheriff??? Those hoodlums and brats need to be found!!

A tree came down in my neighbourhood during the last wind storm a couple of weeks ago.

Marilyn, how awful about your horses! Do you have a game camera you could set up to aim toward where you think someone is shooting from? Not that you should put your horses in danger, but they could be riding around shooting at most anything. Edited to add, and I hope you have reported this to the sheriff’s department.

Marilyn, that's awful....I was thinking a camera might be helpful too. What kind of evil must there be to shoot pets like that. Horrible.

Marilyn, that hurts my heart. Anyone who would do that are worthless human beings and not fit to live.

I keep thinking how close Mariah and Bane came to losing an eye. I just can't wrap my head around why anyone would want to do something like that.

Marilyn, I'm so sorry about your horses. I think you're probably right about it being kids. No doubt they think it's funny to make your horses jump and run.

Marilyn that's so sad. I agree a camera is a good thing. And definitely let the local authorities know that it's happening. This is Texas and shooting at horses is a serious matter.

I hate to see those big beautiful trees coming down. Such a shame. We had lost a lot of our giant pines to beetles at the previous house. We don't have any pines at this house. But we do have several big pecan trees. This was a pecan plantation at one time.

The trees are getting quite old and they are not in good condition, some worse than others. We will need to take a couple down in the near future.
