Backsplash? No backsplash? What kind of backsplash?
Comments (25)didn't have time to read all the answers. I have no backsplash and have never regretted it...been over 6 yrs. It is painted with BM matte...which has ceramic in it. It is as beautiful now as it was when first painted. I love the fact that I can showcase other things ...art etc in my kitchen and no competition. Also if I ever want to change it is as quick as a paint brush...expense is minimal..paint only ! All in all I think it is serene as you point out . Here is one pick. Since I have a lot of high heat cooking in my kitchen..built in deep fat fryer as well as gas cook top I can definitely speak to the longevity of paint only. c ( more at this album )...See MoreAdvice Needed on Kitchen Tile Back-Splash and LVT/LVP Flooring Color
Comments (5)Hi Chispa, House is a townhouse built in 1996, trying to modernize the look. As far as decorating style, I like modern/contemporary, nothing too funky. Something that would be cohesive with the rest of the kitchen, and bring the kitchen to life a little. It's very white right now....See MoreKitchen glass mosaic back-splash recommendations
Comments (9)I don't know what your client has in mind completely. It might be worth asking the client for some inspiration pictures for what she has in mind. I think some glass mosaics might be overpowering for that granite. But there are some glass mosaics that might work as long as they are very plain. Super white glass tile Maybe something like this with a tiny bit of pattern: Silver planks glass tile Or maybe this one which might work with the colour in the counter: glass mosaic - raw silk...See MoreHave You Ever Seen a Kitchen Backsplash Made of Wood?
Comments (17)Nini, I am not in love with the granite. We didn’t choose the counter and I would not have chosen it. But.....after having kitchens in different houses and chasing expensive trends in what was supposed to be the forever house that I eventually could not wait to leave because supervising it was like being the mayor of my own town, I am very reluctant to change it. For one, what would I change it to? I don’t love quartz or marble, certainly not enough to change this for either. I still love tile counters but would not do that bc they are impractical. If anything I would change to wood counters, then would still have to do something with backsplash and probably would end up changing the cabinets too. I am not going down that rabbit hole this time. I’m not after a dream kitchen—-I just want to like this one more. And to accomplish that I will do smaller projects targeted at the element I like least, in this case the backsplash. Does that make sense? It would not have to me twenty years ago!...See MoreFori
