I usually get it at Costco but have found it at Kroger recently so it seems some grocery stores are picking it up. I have to say I was disappointed in the most recent package. She has changed how it is made why do they do that! It originally was made in one big sheet and just broken up into random pieces which was perfect. Now she is making it in little squares which makes it thicker and have the cooked edge it is not nearly as good as the original thinner random pieces with no edges. I sure wish I had known because I would not have bought it. It also now comes in a salted caramel flavor and a toffee and a mint chocolate chip so pay attention when buying it. here is a link to the find a store in your area search FIND A STORE In this picture of the package you can see how now it is shaped into squares not just random pieces. Here is an easy brittle recipe that we have been making for years. Peanut Brittle 1 c. sugar 1/2 c. white karo 1/2 c. red karo 2 c. raw shelled peanuts 1 t. baking soda Butter a baking sheet or foil and set aside. Combine first four ingredients in a heavy skillet. Cook until peanuts are done. Stir in baking soda. Pour and spread on the buttered sheet or foil. Allow to cool and break into pieces. This should not be cooked during damp, humid weather.

oh lordy! What a mess! #1 my oven is not level. Half of it burned before it was half done. #2 I must not have sprayed the pan well enough. It wouldn't come off. I've read it is not good for cheesecake but I don't make cheesecake anyway. I have seen recipes for cheesecake using it in Cooking Light magazine, but I dunno if the recipes are any good. Probably not good in danish and the like either. I use it mostly to spread on bagels and toast and english muffins, in which case it tastes just fine. I top it with a dab of homeade jam, yum. Great with lox, since that has a strong taste so I don't miss the extra taste for that application. Fine with those dream eggs, because they were flavored with the herbs anyway, and the neufatchel just added a wonderful creamy texture, even with 1/3 less fat. Since cream cheese is almost pure fat, 1/3 less doesn't make it a diet food by any means, but I like it just as well if not better than cream cheese for what I use it for, so that's what I buy for the calorie savings. I don't mind it in party spreads either.
