Anyone seen this? Bed, Bath and Beyond carries it.
Oh yummy!
It's some good stuff. I did a google search and there is a site for the recipe. Going to check that out now.

I've not heard of it, but it looks interesting. I might have to get some to share next time I get together with friends.

yes I posted about it here quite a while back then more recently someone else posted about it. We all agree it is definitely yummy stuff! I got it originally at Costco but have since seen it in various stores including Kroger.

I've seen it there for the past couple of months and wondered how it tasted. It sure looks good. I recently bought a container of mini pecan cakes. I was disappointed as there is not much pecan flavor and a little too sweet for my taste. Even so, I still managed to finish off the box lol

Here is an easy brittle recipe that we have been making for years. Peanut Brittle 1 c. sugar 1/2 c. white karo 1/2 c. red karo 2 c. raw shelled peanuts 1 t. baking soda Butter a baking sheet or foil and set aside. Combine first four ingredients in a heavy skillet. Cook until peanuts are done. Stir in baking soda. Pour and spread on the buttered sheet or foil. Allow to cool and break into pieces. This should not be cooked during damp, humid weather.

I'll bet that Glenda has a recipe for the home-made ones, as well! Interesting - these messages, on page 67, were made in mid-December, 5 months ago. It used to be that the messages fell over the edge of the cliff after three, or at most, four months. Fewer heavy duty talkers, these days? ole joyful

From Gather.com:

Brownie Brittle Recipe

1 pkg brownie mix

1/2 cup chocolate chips (or whatever flavor you want, butterscotch, vanilla, etc.)

1 egg (as on brownie mix pkg.)

1/4 cup oil (or what the brownie mix calls for)

1/4 cup water (this is a little more than called for on the package)

13"x9" pan sprayed with baking spray

Preheat oven to 300

Mix ingredients together and pour a thin layer in the bottom of the pan, or spread a thin layer evenly.

Sprinkle your chocolate chips on top and bake in 300 degree oven until it feels firm.

Then let it cool on a rack.

Break it up and enjoy.

Here's my Brownie Brittle story. I found it after Christmas at a Wal-mart near us. Thought it looked interesting, so I got a bag. Checked the price and it was 75% off and only 65 cents!!! I figure it must have been a Christmas item, but put in the regular cookie section.

I opened it and couldn't put it down!! SO GOOD! Didn't think it would be so light and crunchy. Brittle sounds harder. Went back to Wal-mart and snatched up 4-5 more bags. Served it for Book Club and everyone liked it.

I saw some at Costco, but did not think having a bag that big would be a good idea! Was afraid I'd eat all of that too! Went back to Wal-mart, but someone must have found the bargain because they were all gone :(
