ISO a recipe for bar cookies using chocolate chips or other ideas

As I've said before here, I do not like to bake. But I make exceptions and one of them involves banana bread/cake. I have a recipe from this forum for Vancouver banana cake that's made in a 9x9" pan. It has a cinnamon sugar topping and "2/3 cup mini chocolate chips or finely chopped bittersweet chocolate. I've always used a 4 oz. bar of dark chocolate (60%), broken into pieces because I like the look and texture of it compared to the chips.

My husband has been doing our grocery shopping. We talked about this before he went to the store. He came back with a 22 oz. bag of Ghirardelli chocolate chips (60%). "That's all they had" he told me. I'm not about to baby sit chocolate chip cookies. I'll have this bag of chocolate chips for years. Help!
