Frau Dagmar Hastrup is a pink rugosa, and Frau Karl Druschki is a white a HT, a cross between the HP Merveille de Lyon and the HT Madame Caroline Testout (which I have to happen on order). I don't grow FKD, but from what I know, it's a very beautiful tall shrub, about 6ft. It may be susceptible to mildew though, which can be a problem if it is grown against a wall. If you don't mind once bloomers, may be look at some ramblers like the airy Paul's Himalayan Musk, although it may eat up your house! Or Goldfinch - nearly thornless (!), but I'm not sure if it's hardy enough for you zone. Or Felicite Perpetue. For a more pink-white repeat patio rambler check out Open Arms or Treasure Trove, or the most beautiful hybrid multiflora Ghislaine de Féligonde. Or Alberic Barbier. Or the hardy Venusta Pendula. If you like Austins, I think the light yellow The Pilgrim would look terrific as a free flowering and well repeating, well scented, and quite healthy climber. If you dare going for pink, which I think can indeed look very good against your red wall, check out Mme Caroline Testout, Cl. Or for a modern, the pink Compassion, or pink-buff-white Penny Lane, or its beautiful parent, the classic New Dawn whose most vicious thorns will keep all burglars out! Andrea

Your room is really coming together. As for pillows, I lay my sleeping pillows flat next to the headboard with the open end of the case tucked under the pillow. Then, I lay king pillows in a decorative sham on top of them. This effectively hides them from view. I stand my Euros in front of the stacked pillows and add any other decorative pillows in front of that. I don't like to put my sleeping pillows under the duvet/comforter because then the sides don't hang evenly. You could also just lay decorative shams on top of your sleeping pillows as they lay flat and then put your Euros, etc. in front of them which would reduce the overall number of pillows on the bed.

While there are a couple other Garden Web forums that may be "technically" a better area to post this, but unfortunately have not been very active lately, but I also post on those as well. To answer your questions, you first have to measure the distance from your screen to the anticipated projector ceiling mount. From there, you can then calculate what the throw ratio the video projector has to be able to display it for 110". For a 16:9 110" screen it will usually be 11-15 feet. The screen would be about 96" wide and 56" high. Looking at your pics there may be some issues with distance, height, and obstructions. You can search on the internet to find calculators, and even Best Buy even has one. I'd highly recommend a fixed screen as opposed to a drop-down due to possible basement moisture associated problems. The roll-up screens can buckle from moisture. The cables are going to be whatever signal sources you are planning to send up there. If there is an unobstructed path though the ceiling, don't use conduit - just feed the cables through the ceiling. If not, use at least 2 inch conduit to facilitate any future video cable pulls. Remember HDMI connectors DO NOT fit through 3/4 inch conduit! Also, the projector is only a display device and any audio/network/HDMI audio return feeds are all separate and are done within your equipment rack/area. Epson and Optoma are currently very popular choices for video projectors. Mitsubishi, JVC, and Panasonic have also been popular over the years. Sanyo, now owned by Panasonic, is still sold as a system integrator choice for commercial installations. Another thing to bear in mind is that DLP projectors should ALWAYS be on a UPS power supply should there be disruption of power. The cooling fan has to bring the DLP lamp temperature down slowly to prevent lamp failure. The lamps often can cost between $100-200 for the lamp alone. Are you sure you need a screen that big or maybe a large LCD flat panel may just meet your needs?

It never occurred to me that any pics posted would be considered private, even tho' GW seemed "little" and kind of closed. I always thought it odd when people posted pics of their children, though and wished people wouldn't. But now it seems like facebook is the world's family picture album, so posting here probably seems benign to some. I do think it's kinda funny that someone who posted ad nauseum pictures of her home as the perfect example of something on nearly every thread (even tho it wasn't), is now crying about how many pictures she has are out there (I'm not referring to anyone on this thread). It was annoying even when it was just GW and I don't really believe she ever intended to remove them, even tho' she's crying foul because she can't. But she's just some stranger out in cyberspace and her (and our) pics mean nothing to anyone else. If no one posted pics, none of us would be able to search for things we'd like to see examples of. So we are just adding to the collective of decorating ideas that are out there.
