You guys are spectacular!!! I do have a question: The white trim at the windows is the vinyl window itself. Can I just paint these? I hate the white with everything, it contrasts much too much, but it works well inside, because all the trim is white. The white at the door is the storm door, which wouldn't break my heart to paint/replace. ;) I agree that the shingle color on the roof doesn't help, but it's a new roof, so until the next round of hail comes, it is what it is. (Though that may not be long off, I live in Oklahoma.) I LOVE the landscaping and extra winding path. That is happening. I've always wanted to add something over the door, and have contemplated a wood trellis type covering that begins alongside the stone steps at ground level, and comes up over the front door to meet the "long" wall. One thing missing from my photo is guttering that was added. It's not a big deal, but it does match the current mossy/clay trim color. I will probably have to tackle this all piecemeal. (Some day, I'm going to replace that single window that doesn't match the rest. Ugh.) Thank you to all of you, I'm so excited for the potential I'm starting to see. :) This has made me really want to pursue "Tudor-ing" it up! Tudor Cottage, here I come!

Advice I always recommend concerning any plantings inherited with a new house is to wait a full season to see what it is you have. There just may be treasures! Those shrubs in front of the windows ARE too tall for that spot, but (depending on what they are) might be lovely moved to another area in your yard. Shrubs of that size would be expensive to buy so if you move them, you are ahead of the game. Since you want to replace the roof/siding, the workmen will appreciate not having them in the way and the shrubs won't get damaged. Just something to think about... I, too, like the mockup's darker color with white trim. Perhaps beef up the trim under the upper windows a bit, and repeat the bay window's style of trim/siding underneath over on the right set of windows to match... As to what order to do the needed work, I would say to do the roof first -- that way the new siding won't be damaged. Good luck and please post photos of the finished work!

I like your roof! Here's an option to get things started. BM Berkshire Beige with Brownstone on the garage. Not sure about the trim. Personally, unless there is something wrong with the stucco, I'd paint it and take the money you save on siding to upgrade the porch in some way. For me, it's too small for the house, can you make it wider?. Looks like you're creating an English garden feel. Every garden needs a place to sit and enjoy it.
