Paint Design Dilemma Exterior

Suggestions for stucco & wood trim exterior paint color

We need to have our stone and stucco house exterior painted badly. I am wondering if we should: 1) have the stucco smoothed as well as painted, and 2) should we stay with the same "blah" color? Front door desperately needs refinishing also. Suggestions there welcome as well.

Drive around different neighborhoods and look for house colors that appeal to you.

I found brick & batten! What a lifesaver for ones like me who can’t just drive around and get ideas (that are worth anything!)

Your house is brick. So I don’t think the inspiration is necessarily where you will go. I’d repaint the brick white. Definitely beef up the trim with some wood. Or even plain white. Maybe choose a different color trim : Black, Navy, Light gray, Light blue...

Keep the faux timber details on your home they add interest and texture. Here are some homes with stone that is similar to yours. I think your home could benefit from contrasting paint trim around the windows & perhaps actual wood for the 'timbers' on your stucco. Any paint colors should be pulled from the colors in your stone except for the bronze for the windows.

I think your home could look much better with upgraded garage doors like you see below.

I would paint the trim a darker color and possibly the stucco. Can't tell what the roof color is but maybe match the trim to the roof color if is matches a color in the stone. I would then match the door to the trim or stucco color to blend.
