Exterior paint color suggestions for Mediterranean-style home?
Comments (20)I think the easiest path to loading pictures on this forum is thru Photobucket.com. After you get your picture uploaded to your Album in Photobucket, which is easy because it shows you step by step what to do, you simply place you cursor on the picture and a little menu pops up. Click on "HTML Code" and immediately a yellow box pops up that says "copied". What you have done is parked your picture on Photobucket and copied the address where it *lives*. You can then open a "Message" window here on this forum and PASTE in the HTML Code which is the address where your picture now *lives*. Becareful not to delete any brackets or details from the HTML Code. Leave a couple returns (lnes or spaces) above and below the HTML Code. You can type your "Message" above or below the code. Or you can email me and I will post your pic here. It's not like who I am or my email is a big secret so here it is. :) lori@colorstrategies.net...See MoreExterior color for California Mediterranean house
Comments (0)Need help finding a light colored paint for our exterior stucco walls. Something between a "beige" and a "white". Accent colors for window panes, corbels, facia, etc are in med. brown tones. Roof will be dark brown shingles. Has anyone found a color they love in beige-white? Has anyone done a two tone trowel(2 paint colors applied simultaneously by 2 painters)? Or an integrated paint job where the paint is put into the wet concrete stucco instead of a more standard paint application on stucco surface? Any advice?!!...See MoreWould like advice on paint color for Mediterranean style home.
Comments (2)Your home has very traditional windows and trim so it will be your furniture and décor that will need to give that Mediterranean feel. I would keep the trim a bright white and pick a very light yellow or taupe so the walls will blend in and the Mediterranean décor you add will be the star....See MoreMediterranean Style Exterior Window and Landscaping Ideas
Comments (10)I agree with Patricia that the dark beams aren't necessary. I did think it looked a little incomplete to not darken the beams if you have dark trim, but that wouldn't be my preference anyway. I would play up the Mediterranean style in the landscaping and make it more free-form with lavender, sage, and maybe an Italian cypress if that works in your zone. Just adding more colour and texture there makes a good bit of difference. I think I still prefer the added character of traditional Mediterranean blue trim. Of course, it really depends on your neighborhood and the style you're going for....See Moreaaa jenson
