prep sink close to main sink, should faucets match?
Comments (8)Either same faucet different finishes (I'd never have answered that was if I'd not have seen the lovely kitchen above) or same finish, no need to match. What would look bad would be two different finishes and styles in the same kitchen. My faucets (I have three) are all different, all within six feet of each other...and the only thing they have in common is the same finish. They look great and each functions as it should for the area it serves....See MoreKD Coming for Final Measure-Should I Move the Prep Sink
Comments (8)You probably would've emailed if you wanted my opinion, but here it is anyway: - Won't it reduce the usefulness of the island to move the prep sink? (It'd be different if you had a small island that would be usurped by the sink and leave you no room to work.) - Where do you want to stand and which way do you want to face to prep? (You've said you don't like the view out your window.) - You'd have less prep area around the sink if it's in the area next to the stove. You don't want a set up in which you have to put things in the sink, move them across the aisle to the island to prep, then move them back across the aisle to the stove. - I also think the sink can serve more purposes in the island than if it's by the stove. Obviously, I'm voting for leaving it in the island. ;-) Uses for the counter to the left of the stove: Area for canisters, the cookie jar, or decorative items. Set completed dishes off in that direction, or do plating there. Use it for cooling baked goods where they'll be mostly out of the way....See MoreHahn Sinks and Hansgrohe Faucets Sale - Should I?
Comments (1)There is another thread about the hansgrohe talis c. It's on sale again at Costco. I love it. Bought my mom the same one, she loves it. No issues at all here. Would buy it again, especially since Costco will take it back if something comes up....See MoreFinish & style: Sink faucet vs RO faucet vs Sink
Comments (0)Could you please check my thinking on this: === Current situation My existing 9 yr old Delta Touch faucet needed a $160 electronic part replacement. Would rather replace with new than fix. Really enjoyed it till the solenoid? broke. At about the same time 2 weeks ago, my 20 year old RO unit in my kitchen sink developed a leak from the manifold. Time to replace it too. Since I've wanted a single-bowl workstation style sink since I started seeing them here, I decided to replace all 3. === Challenge Am trying to coordinate the design and finish of: - Delta Touch faucet - RO faucet that will be nearby - Ruvati Kitchen sink === RO Faucet vs Sink faucet design I'm leaning towards the Leland https://www.deltafaucet.com/kitchen/product/9178T-SP-DST because of my choices in RO faucet that will be right next to it. My thinking is: I should coordinate Sink faucet with RO faucet, more than the sink, because those are the 2 things sticking up out of the sink. If I were coordinating faucet design with sink design I'd go with the Mateo in a heartbeat. https://www.deltafaucet.com/kitchen/product/9183T-KS-DST I don't see any RO faucet that coordinates with the Mateo === Finish I think it's impossible to tell from pictures which brushed finish would blend best till I actually see them in person. I probably should order multiple RO faucets and return one....See MoreZalco/bring back Sophie!
