I wouldn't stress over this. Get a faucet and sink you like and be done please.

No one really buys all the same manufacturer. Some make better dw's, some make better stoves, on and on. Look for reviews and purchase accordingly.

Sales people sell what makes them the most money, not what is best for customers. There is no need to match brands of appliances or sinks. The finishes and handles will blend together fine on appliances, sinks and fixtures.

Definitely the faucet and sink do NOT have to be the same company.

For the record, I do agree that appliances do not have to be the same company either and in the past, in our old house I was usually only replacing one or two appliances at a time, so I went with what got the best review for the $. The appliances were all different manufacturers.

In this remodel I am doing, I did go with all the same for MY convenience, sanity, and pocketbook.

Totally disagree with the salesperson, he knows not what he talks of. I am putting in anthracite blanco sink, hansgrothe faucet, Frigidaire wall ovens and GE, induction cooktop. Keeping my kitchen aid fridge and Blomberg dishwasher.

The reason every brand carries the same standard finishes (nickel, brushed nickel, chrome, white, etc) is so you can shop across brand lines easily.

Stainless steel can look a little different from brand to brand, but the differences are mostly based on whether the finish is brushed, polished, or even textured with a 3D texturizing roller in rare instances.

Wow! I wish I would’ve came here before purchasing the appliances. Yes, I was at Best Buy and he said the stainless won’t be the same. This is my first time purchasing appliances so I wasn’t sure. I didn’t want them to mismatch. I wanted an LG fridge but a Bosch dishwasher based on the reviews and money. I ended up finding an LG that I settled for, however, I have 2 weeks before installation so I’m considering taking it back and getting the original one I wanted. As for the sink, I’m getting a Krus but I haven’t found a faucet yet. I wanted to make sure it was okay. Thanks again!

@Tia S Yes!!!! If you can take it back and get the original one you wanted, go for it! The advice on which you based the switch was misleading, in my opinion.

Salesperson is trying to make his life easier because it’s easier to write up a purchase all in one brand, and also his spiff might be better from LG if he does that. Or, he’s just ignorant and out of touch. Choose appliances for the features you want, your budget, and each brand tends to be better at one type of appliance than another.

Sink and faucet do not have to be same brand, or even same finish. I have a stainless steel sink and a polished chrome faucet. We see many combinations on this forum of sink and faucet finishes, any combination you can think of.

And GUESS WHAT - stainless steel can vary even within same brand. It depends on which lot of stainless steel the manufacturer might have used for their different appliances, or the appliances could be made in different factories with different sources of stainless steel, or made at different times. No one notices this or can see it.

Get what you like of different brands.

I appreciate all the advice. I definitely wanted the other dishwasher but he went into them being completely a different stainless Steele and I freaked out and changed. I thought having the designer with the cabinets was enough but boy was I wrong. Selecting so many different finishes is not easy. The designer did recommend gold pulls and a gold faucet.

In the premium cases the faucet doesn't come from the same company (although it may come from the same place. An example is Rachiele sinks supplies Waterstone faucets if you so desire.) I have several different brands of stainless steel, backsplash, dishwasher, oven, hood, and none of them come from the same manufacturer (the sink is copper). There's not enough difference between the brands to worry about.
