You MUST paint the support wall the same as the wall color.

I would do a bench and a fig leaf plant.

It may just be the light that makes the two painted areas look different. Low light plants sitting in a tray or box with uplights plugged in to throw their shadows on the slanted stair wall will be pretty. You can build a box, line it with Flex Seal and pea gravel or lava rock to waterproof the situation. Then set pretty pots of shade loving plants there.

I don't think a bench would look right. I would do a console table with a lamp on the right end where the wall gets tall. Maybe only a live plant on it with the lamp simple

I'd put a small armchair there with little pedestal table next to it. Measure the space so you can make sure the chair is the right scale. These are all different styles, of course, but you get the idea. Put the chair to the right of the sloped ceiling.

Because of the low ceiling, I wouldn't want to tuck any seating under the stairs. I like the idea of a chest or a console underneath the stairs. If you could use an extra chair, you could put it on the right of the chest or console where the ceiling is full height.

If it seems like an appropriate spot for a “sit and take the boots off”sort of chair or bench, then that is reasonable.
But I’m not a fan of the “cosy reading nook” setups, because nobody in real life is ever going to curl up with a good book in these chairs that are plunked down in a hallway under the stairs.

Maybe a medium sized wide wall type fountain that covers most of that back wall space with uplight feature? Kind of zenny?

SABRINA’S suggestion of a chair and table will work if you place the chair right of the bullhead, on taller part of wall and the table under.

What I would suggest is the chair not be low, like in my above photo, but tall, sleek, kind of a statement piece. Inspiration:

I would like to see a picture from further back but that looks too low for any kind of seating and please post a measurement of how high the ceiling is in the low part oand the high part.

This is one idea, depending on measurements. A curved writing desk/console with chair. My mock-up is for placement idea only, I don’t know your decor style, and it’s of course not to perfect scale. But I like how a curved piece would look there, and my idea is to pull the table out as much as possible, not be up against the wall or right under the ceiling. The lamp would have more clearance that way, too.

I count 7 risers on your stair to the level of the bend in the wall. If they are 7" that would mean the bend in the wall starts at about 35". An average height person would probably bump their head if they approached the area. So it does make it pretty hard to use the area on a regular basis. Do you need extra storage space? You could install a storage closet? That would partially obscure the stair but, honestly, it's done all the time. Good luck!
